Looking forward to it and hoping Andy can do his bit. I'll be one of the boys and girls in orange for the whole weekend. Good to have top-line motorsport back at the Hatch

Good to have the folks in orange suits like yourself making sure it'll be a class event... and making it possible at all...
enjoy your sarnies in the sun, I hope... |

If we look in BTCC it seems this is a good track for Leon hatchback.

On the Indy circuit. But WTCC is on the GP track, although I'm not sure whether the longer straights will disadvantage the Leon's enough here.

Come to think of it, when was the last time we had a proper rain race in the ETCC/WTCC anyway? |

If I remember correctly there were some rain during practice at Puebla, but not on race day (even though it was overcast).
EDIT - The first time the ETCC visited Anderstorp there was a lot of rain, but surely that can't be the last time we had a real wet race in recent ETCC/WTCC years? |

Yes, the track surface offered the equivalent grip levels of a vast monsoon.
Ooh, the horridness.... |

Thompson fastest from Farfus and Yvan Muller.
Those Alfa's are surprisingly quick considering their lack of track time at Brands...all the other drivers at the top end are BTCC stalwarts. Gené and Tarquini not so fast in their Seat's though. BMW look the most troubled car from just the first session |

Incidentally pole was a 1:32 for Dan Eaves last year so the times are fairly comparible.

Yep, top indie...just hunting/waiting for pics of it.
Notice all the 320i's at the bottom, they can't even get it to work in the WTCC at Brands Hatch!, what chance did Martyn Bell & Edenbridge have! |

It seems that the massive test in Italy for Alfa was a good choice.

Hazard - there's some on the WTCC site now; http://www.fia-wtcc.com/fiawtcc/mcd_dia329.shtml
No high-res links work yet, just the low-res ones. High-res ones shouldn't take long to appear I wouldn't expect. |
