Steve Holmes should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Open Sports Ford Can Am

Does anyone know what happened to the Open Sports Ford Can Am car which raced at the last two Can Am events of 1969? It was entered by Alan Mann Racing, and driven by Frank Gardner at Riverside, then by Jack Brabham at Texas to third place.

It was a beautiful car, sort of looked like an F3L with the roof cut off. Not to be mistaken with Alan Manns other entry from an earlier season, the Honker II. It showed some potential.

After it ran these two races, it never competed in the Can Am again. Does anyone know its fate?

It has been a long time since I read it but I think it was what the first car would have turned into had it been developed; a lack thereof was the only thing really lacking in the first car.
