Count another one for the Bear....
Okay we have 2 full time professionally piloted cars, great news! I expect Risi to seriously consider a real 2 car effort whenever Krohn is not present, just like last year. The battle is not yet one and I still pick Risi and Melo because nobody is faster in GT-2 then Melo at this point, even Muller.... Look for 3 430's (Risi and Tafel) vs 2 Flying Lizard cars and One Fambacher or Rahal car Another cracker of a GT2 season! |

for sebring at least i would've put Simonsen with Muller and Bell .. that would've challenged Risi #1 for pure speed too

Its ok and fine when plans for Risi to potentially race 3 cars this year were the song of the day . But when a Porsche team intends to do that , you start singing and dancing like a one legged leper !!! Ha , your true colors are starting to show around the edges Mr.Brielga !!! BIASED good day to you sir !!! Last edited by The Badger; 3 Feb 2008 at 17:21. |

Yeah and it produced by far one of the best finishes of the year!
Risi lead a good deal of the race in 2006 and 2007... I like how everybody wants to count them out already with 3 Lizard cars (2 competitive 24/7 Lizard cars I might add) and one serious Tafel car as well. Methinks Risi will come out of Houston with both barrels blazing with 2 solid driver lineups for the entire season and all 3 distance races with Krohn being the only "wild card" but as I said Naric drove his car and they still won at Le Mans, so anything is possible. Still a whole f'in month before Sebring as now that the Super Bowl has been played, focus will be on the beaches of Daytona with the 500 and the Supercross event in the infield. Expect more anncounments in the coming weeks leading up to the biggest party in Florida... If they though the turnout at Daytona was good wait until Sebring. |

Other than that, we've lost an F-L Porsche (maybe?), a Corvette and some Vipers that never actually existed, and the Fords are still a bit of a question mark. That said, +1 FLMS 997, +1 Aston, +1 Corvette, +1 or more Fords, +1 F-L 997, +1 part-time Vici Porsche...not a bad haul at all. |

I suspect that the hints given on DSC belong more in an ALMS 2009 thread. Maybe a few late 08' events, but we'll find out more later today.

Murphy tells me he's pretty sure Andrew Cotton over at SCP and DSC have a handle on it. Andrew's mentioned it twice lately, once before the NAIAS, from which it was postponed to Chicago.
Fogelhund is right; it's good, but the near-term effect is likely to subtract a Baden-Württemberg entry that many were counting on the 2008 grid, while adding a Bavarian car very late in this season, if at all this year. Speaking of "disappearing entries," a Kerry Morse interview with racing engineer and manager extraordinaire Tony Dowe over at sportscarpros might provide a little understanding. http://www.sportscarpros.com/not-tha...st/default.htm Last edited by TWK; 6 Feb 2008 at 18:31. |
