Included in our report on the 1000 km race from last weekend are a number of words and several shots of the first round of the Classic Endurance Series, where top classifications will guarantee an entry to the 2010 Le Mans Classic.

Here are some shots from the back-up track UCP photographer.....(me)
First car is Kevin Wilkins's Lola, a living proof that original livery should be made mandatory in the series, see the other Lola, which was run by Oak racing, the same team that had two Pescarolos in the 1000 km race, in black and pink....
There is also the Brumos Porsche, that has made it to Europe (it was offered during the 2007 Gooding auction at Pebble Beach.
There is also a rare bird in the shape of a DeTomaso Mangusta, not the fastest one, and driven conservatively.
In full contention was Jacques Nicolet in the Cosworth powered March 74S. The final shot is of the winner Jean Marc Luco, in his immaculate Porsche 936
