Speeddemon555 should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
The Return of Manuel Gear Shifters

Since the ban on driver's aid including automatic transmission. F1 teams will have to back to the shifter paddles on the steering wheel or gear sequentical levers.

Yeah. That won't be such a bad thing. And, as a matter of fact, the manual gearshifting never dissapeared. At any given time they could ovverride the 'automatic' gearbox. And frankly I don't really understand why did they allow it in the first place. That was something quite easily to police, I believe...

Manuel Gearshift, a very shifty fellow. Keep both eyes on him.

they banned FULLY automatic gearshifting(from Silverstone this year BTW just as TC and LC) teams can use semi automatic systems, but the driver has to operate them.

so in other words I understand the rule to be that now they actually have to pull on a paddle to activate the gear change....forget changing a light bulb, how many F1 drivers does it take to flip a light switch?

I think we should see the return of stick-shifting, as in the gear lever beside the driver instead of on the steering wheel. Drivers don't even have to take their hands off the wheel anymore. Haven't in a number of years...

would some sort of brain activated system, such as JPM thinking upshift and the car upshifting, count as manual?

Didn't Ferrari introduce that 'push button' gear selection in 1989?
