What's the big deal if they do? Simply slapping the name Lotus to a mid-pack team does nothing. They still won't be affiliated with Lotus Sport, and they will carry none of Colin Chapman's heritage. Why not slap the name Tyrrell on a Minardi and Brabham on an Arrows while you're at it.

This rumour has been discounted for several weeks now.
It's a non-starter. However, slap Wartburg on McLaren. |

According to Autosport, the rumours were true, but the talks "fell through..."
And yes, it was an effort to gain more sponsorship! |

Skoda would be nice - I just loved those Skoda jokes. We could put a triple wide wing on the rear of the Skoda Prost so that we can get plenty of frogs to push start the thing. Plus a rubber band powered launch control.

The BAT deal ends next year. Do you think that with huge debts the team might be a bit worried?

Going slightly off the topic, how much debt is Prost (or should I say Prost GP) in?

I may be hideously wrong, but isn't BAR in about £60 million debt???
And yet to win a race. |

Even though the name would have nothing to do with Lotus cars, wouldn't it be great to see names like Lotus, Ligier (not Prost!), BRM and Tyrrell back in the sport. Add to that Brabham and Cooper and it's like the 60s all over again.

Don't mess with Brabham, please... if they must return, it should be in the same levels of Sauber last year, to speak the least.
