RaceFanStan should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
I would talk about ....

the race at Texas but it seems that only a few points are of interest, I thought it was a pretty good race with some surprises thrown in.
For instance :
shawna was all over the track, got into Sterling on lap 3.
shawna was blocking Ward and he had to move her out of the way.
shawna was a lap down by lap 30.
rubby gordon threw a block on race leader Ricky Rudd on lap 33 to keep from going a lap down.
What's up with the 11 car and his habit of loosing his side window ?
Ward Burton blew a tire, hit the wall and the engine caught fire.
Dale Jr expected shawna to zig and she zaggged instead, Dale Jr backed into the wall hard destroying the rear of the 8 car ! Dale Jr climbed out holding his side, said he was okay, I hope so. Dale Jr copped out in his interview and only faulted shawna's equipment (I mean her car guys), Dale Jr was "politically correct", it made me sick !
DJ ran out of gas and lost 2 laps, control freak Todd Parrott blew it big time !!!
rubby and the 31 car hit the wall hard !!! Never did hear if it was a flat tire or contact from another car (payback maybe ???).
Jeff Burton "slapped" the wall and "pancaked" the side of the 99 car, he had to go behind the wall for repairs.
Ryan's 12 car blew up, shortly afterward Rusty said he had a bad set of tires and wasn't as fast as he had been, (saving the engine ???).
Mayfield almost jumped the restart, slowed suddenly, Bobby Labonte didn't, Bobby ran into the back of the 19 car damaging the "nose" of the 18 car.
Kurt Busch had a flat, spunout, and damaged the the left front "corner" of his 97 car.
DW's singing has to go !!!
These are the topics I would talk about, but nobody's really talking about the race !

Is that because it was on Monday and not as many people as usual saw it?

Before the race, everybody talked about the green track. Was it as much of a problem as they thought it would be?

I don't think the green track was a factor.
It was an exciting race to watch, the drivers were going for all they could get, Rusty ran strong until the end, DJ had a strong car too but gas mileage bit him. Matt had a real strong car and really came on at the end, even the 24 & 6 cars were good, it was a race with a lot of surprises, not "tame" at all.
By the way, Speedvision is re-airing it at 7pm (eastern time).

Durn Stan, I just saw that post...it's like deja vu all over again...lol. Man, you know i'm happy about the results. Pam was e-mailing me updates all through the race except when I was on my lunch break...I sat in my car with the radio on, one of the few times I'm happy I get an hour for lunch! Then I got an e-mail that started oh-oh from her...I'm like oh sh*t what happend to DJ? Then my brother called and filled me in on some details to & by the time he hung up...Matt was leading. So I bombarded Pam with more e-mails asking what was going on & got called out to the lab not to long after. When I got back had about 3 e-mails, one was matt is still leading, then ryan blew up( she likes ryan also) & congrats...matt won!!!!

I like Shawna. She's a fiesty woman. But as this season goes on, I am constantly reminded of a joke about her that I heard a few weeks ago.

"If that old saying 'behind every good man is a good woman' is true, then Shawna must be a great woman, because she's behind 42 good men."

But ya gotta admit, she is a fiesty woman. It takes guts to get out there and do what she does knowing full well that since she is the only woman out there, therefore everyone is paying particular attention to her. If it a 50\50 mix of women and men, she wouldn't stand out so much when she doesn't make the grade.

I can't call her great because shawna knows full well that she sucks and that she doesn't make the grade and is only out there in the way because Nascar wants her there.
She only wants the $$$$$$$$$$ and the few moments of fame.
Just My Opinion for what's it's worth, LOL.

Shawna is overpaid !!!

Here’s some info I found on That’s Racin’.

Winston Cup Points Standings after Texas (Race 7):
Driver = Shawna Robinson
Points Rank = 42nd
Total Points = 281
Starts = 5
Wins = 0
Top 5 = 0
Top 10 = 0
Money = $ 321,604

I sure can't call this rolling roadblock a bargain !!!

My opinion = $ 0
LOL

Well, for Nascar it is a bargain when they are trying to fill the field because their money from FOX depends on a full field. I still wish i would have won a mark martin car from valvoline. I'd take it to darlington, qualify with no competition, & pull it into the garagage on lap 1 & collect 40,000 dollars fpr finishing in 43rd!!!
