Súper TC2000

Citroën will have three drivers: Facundo Chapur, José Manuel Urcera, and a third unannounced driver.
Peugeot will have four drivers: Néstor Girolami, Fabián Yannantuoni, Mariano Werner, and Mat�*as Muñoz Marchesi.
Renault will have four drivers: Facundo Ardusso, Emiliano Spataro, Leonel Pern�*a, and Mart�*n Moggia.
Chevrolet will have five drivers: Agust�*n Canapino, Bernardo Llaver, Manuel Mallo, Facundo Conta, and a fifth unannounced driver.
Fiat will leave the championship.

Turismo Nacional

The first round will be held on February 25 at Potrero de los Funes.
Fiat will have two drivers: Mariano Werner, and Mat�*as Muñoz Marchesi.
UR Racing will leave the championship.
Carlos Okulovich will leave the championship.

Esteban Guerrieri is trying to race full-time in Europe.

I reckon this is the sole championship in the world that has that many manufacturers having that many drivers. However the number is shrinking, a shame that Fiat is leaving. Is there anyone new in sight?

Ford may return to S[uper TC2000.

Chinese brands are still unsignificant in Argentina, unlike Uruguay.

Kia and Hyundai have insignificant sales in Argentina, unlike Brazil. Kia does compete in Turismo Nacional, which is cheaper.

you forgot to mention Toyota, they will have 4 or 5 Corolla in Super TC2000. Matias Rossi will be one of the drivers and the fifth Toyota could be for Pechito in the races that do not coincide with the WEC.

Breaking news! Juan Mar�*a Traverso will drive at the STC2000 Buenos Aires 200 km.

He announced it today, which is his birthday.

However, he has set a few restrictions: he will drive a Peugeot, and his teammate will not be a regular driver, but Miguel Ángel Guerra.

There are two small details to solve: Guerra is Renault's manager, and today is also the Feast of the Holy Innocents, which is the Hispanic Fools Day... :P

Speaking about Guerra and Traverso, I read on the Italian version of Motorsport.com that they are working with Top Run on a possible development of the Subaru WRX TCR in Argentina, which could also bring to a TCR Argentina series in the future. Guerra and Traverso worked with Top Run in the early 90s, contesting (and winning) the Italian Touring Car Championship, could it be a reliable news or another joke?

El Villicum is a new racetrack in San Juan, very close to El Zonda. This latter track hosted TC only once in 1968, as it's too short and narrow.

0- Citroën / PSG16 will have three drivers: Facundo Chapur, José Manuel Urcera, and Federico Iribarne (2017 TC2000 runner-up).
o- In December, Peugeot had its four drivers confirmed: Néstor Girolami, Fabián Yannantuoni, Mariano Werner, and Mat�*as Muñoz Marchesi. In addition, the Peugeot Junior Equipe drivers will be Bruno Armellini and Alessandro Salerno.

Top Race news:

o- Néstor Girolami will race with Lincoln Sport Group. The team has two open seats.
o- Lucas Guerra left SDE, not for budget reasons, but because of conflicts with teammate Mariano Altuna.

The Turismo Carretera is considering to return to Balcarce, the racetrack where Guido Falschi died after a horrific crash. No improvements have been made, actually some parts have been vandalized, but the local government is willing to invest in a revamp.

I don't really follow Turismo Carretera. As far as I know, Chevrolet had a performance advantage, so rivals would complain. The ACTC now "closes" the technical regulations at the astart of the year, rather than change air restrictors and minimum weights every two races as in the early 2010s.
