Uncle Cranker should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
AVE$$CO spin Doctors @ work.......

Interesting comment on 'Trackside' on Ch Serious this afternoon.

After the 'still developing' series Wakefield Park R 2 start-line crash, there was an interview from some paramedic, who was quite happy to spout numbers from the official race log.
"7 second from crash till first medical vehicle was on scene" or similar, and then '11 seconds till a Surgeon was on scene'.

Damm shame no-body need their Tonsils out, Trackside, as clearly AVE$$CO have managed to bring the finest officials to the race track, looking after drivers welfare with sub 10 second arrival times.

Call me a cynic, {go on I dare you} but has this very public display of 'Rapid Response Times' been prompted by large amounts of criticism for slow response times from N.Z & W.A?????

Without taking anything away from the dedicate marshals (of which I'm proudly one) Race Starts are followed by Fire &/or Medical intervention vehicles for this very reason, and those response times are the norm at most tracks, from Club to International competition.

Interesting point of note was seeing Dean Canto stretching out his 'injury' on the Pit Garage floor.
You would think the Medical Centre would have been a more appropriate place for that.

AHH but you can.

Any driver who's car is disabled through impact MUST attend the medico's & be cleared prior to any further competion.

Okay, ya big Cynic

But of course the accident was at Race start and on the start line instead of the backside of the track and during the race, so you may be correct, however thats still fairly impressive TOA

uncle cracker, the car doesnt have to be disabled through impact, any impact with car wall or armco, is usually directed to the scrutineers and the driver to the med centre.

well most of the time in victoria, i know of one driver in a state round recently who didnt, god knows how his car got by the next round :P

At a start line incident you wouldn't expect it to be any slower! As Uncle Cranker states, the medico and fire chase vehicles are almost on top of them from the beginning.

Yes, some fine media manipulation courtesy of the network of disinformation, your home of motorsport, Channel Seriously.

Dean was summoned to - and attended - the Medical Centre and cleared by the event doctor. His own doctor was also at the pit garage shortly after the crash.
