Britcar 24 Hr 2010

It's back!! There have been rumours mentioned in other threads about the 2010 event, but I think the time is right to start up a dedicated 24hr thread after reading this in today's Autosport magazine:

"Britcar boss James Tucker is to bring the GT and production car enduro back on the first weekend of October, and he plans to boost the event for both competitors and spectators". The official Britcar 24hr website also confirms that the 2010 event will take place from 1st to 3rd October (with testing on 30th September).

Personally I'm delighted, this is at the top of my 'events to-do' list for next year. Having marshalled at the previous running of the event back in 2008, I was disappointed that it was necessary to change the 2009 event to a six-hour race. But next year we return to 24hr endurance racing, and I can't wait! The atmosphere should be buzzing, with 10,000 tickets being given free to spectators.

Roll on October

Excellent, and beginning of October shouldn't clash with anything I normally do. Bring on my first 24hr. I hope.

Can't wait. I enjoyed the six-hour, but it just wasn't the same.

So pleased to hear it is back, and it doesn't clash with Goodwood Revival this time. Looks like I'll be at Silverstone quite a lot next year.

Don't forget the 2cv 24hr

I'll definately be at the Britcar 24hr. The 6 hour was good but everyone said the 24 was better.
