Jules Bianchi & Christian Vietoris have won the last 4 races - time for Roberto Merhi to get a win i reckon...

It was pretty much all-ART Grand Prix last time IIRC (Tango Masters on Kumho tires). Is Nick Tandy in this weekend (as well as Jokinen)? and, the Norisring highlights suggest a possible further penalty for Stefano Coletti but nothing since? Dunno. Good pace of late from Mücke Motorsport.

tandy's in for the rest of the season, and didn't coletti's punishment get passed to something higher up? i don't think it was going to be specifically for zandvoort.

Autosport and F3ES write-ups on qualifying.
3 stoppages apparently, an off by Sam Bird, but no comment on Hartley's (or Mustonen's) results. It looks like Hartley's having a tough couple of weeks...a good chance to show your mettle maybe, dunno. Qualifying: Code:

Hartley must have had a problem? I keep expecting him to get right up there, but it's yet to happen. He does indeed need to show a bit of mettle L2LO. More interestingly his much more inexperienced team-mate Jake Rosenzweig put in a good performance in 12th. Aside from Bottas and Sims, I think two other rookies who are ones to watch out for are Zanella and Geronimi, the latter was quite impressive at the Masters. He had several wins in FBMW Europe last season but was slightly inconsistent.

Would it be fair to say Carlin are struggling in the Euroseries?

Yes, I think they only managed a couple of points last season, despite running Hartley in 8 races, as well as Gonzales and Phillipe for the duration of the championship, none of them are slow. Not sure why though, as they are obviously one of the leading F3 teams in the world.

A bit miffed the live stream wasn't working but happened to catch Valtteri Bottas legitimately overtake Vietoris on the pitcam and, a first lap melee (c/w SC) sounds the same in any language. Bianchi and Bottas 1/2 but no mistaking Bianchi's sizeable advantage.

Oh good answer Runshaw! A great result for Rosenzweig esp. considering his results to date. From what's been written, I take it Sam Bird, Brendon Hartley and Atte Mustonen also put in some good drives today. Bianchi's lead though over 7 seconds at one point. Are there not even any delayed video replays out there? somewhere? ever? :good grief:

Who would have thought that Rosenzweig and not Hartley would score Carlin's first Euroseries podium?!

Jake Rosenzweig Grabs F3 Euro Series Podium at Zandvoort
Rosenzweig stepped up his game this weekend, and demonstrated some real pace posting the third fastest lap of the race. His first F3 points on Saturday and then an impressive podium finish today. Quite something to secure Carlin's first Euro Series podium ever. Considering this is only his second year in cars, the F3 Euro Series would seem to be a bit of an ask, but after today, and in only his 4th F3 race, there would appear to be cause to rate this young American rookie. He had Vietoris on him for half the race and held up well under the pressure- maybe his karting background saw him through. While he probably did not have enough to pass Bird, he was closing the gap. All in all, quite an improvement for him since his middling showing at the Masters a few weeks ago. Maybe Carlin is getting a better handle on the Kumho tires. If they do, I would expect Hartley to start challenging at the front. Bianchi was flying yet again, and ART seems to have the setup just right for every track.

The newsreel footage from F3ES if any one's interested. Wow, Bianchi.
