Its true, like JOHN B&Q's Car!
In addition, B&Q's red-and-white colours will also be seen on the stunning, new Lexus IS200s to be driven by Kurt Luby and Thomas Erdos in the Touring car category of the championship. |

Where did you hear (or see) that? Or is the same as the new BTCC games? Nobody official is reporting it.

I'm a bit sceptical about this. The people who received the news via e-mail, got it from a hotmail address.

The Lexus will have some small B&Q decals, that doesn't mean it will be painted in B&Q colours.

Spoke to John today - he's promised to visit here again shortly, so i'm sure he'll fill you all in with the details himself. However, yes, there will be some small B&Q decals on the Lexus (which, incidently, looks awesome!) as a result of a deal involving himself.

vauxhall. Look at this from Codemasters.
Thank you for submitting your recent request to Codemasters Customer Services concerning BTCC. Your query was dealt with by Martin. We haven't heard anything about it I'm afraid. |

Codemasters wins games rights to AVESCO's V8 Supercars.
Codemasters has won the games rights to AVESCO's V8 Supercars Codemasters' internal licensing team has further strengthened the company's ownership of motorsport properties by securing the exclusive game rights with AVESCO for the V8 Supercar Shell Championship Series, one of the world's premier motor racing championships held in Australia. The worldwide minimum 3-year deal provides Codemasters with rights to feature competitions from the Shell Championship Series in future motor sport games. The deal also includes the rights to the season's highlight: the Bathurst Endurance Race, which attracts drivers from all over the globe. The 13-round Championship Series features Ford Falcon and the Holden Commodore V8 Supercars, powered by mighty 600bhp engines that record speeds of up to 200mph on the track. The Championship's popularity is extensive, attracting more than one million people at events and more than 11 million television viewers over a season making it Australia's premier motor sport category. In season 2001, the V8 Supercars will travel across the Tasman for their first international round - The V8 International New Zealand. The V8 Supercar win follows a five-year deal for Codemasters with British Motorsport Promoters for exclusive interactive rights to the British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) from 2002 to 2006 and the British Superbike Championships for racing seasons 2000 to 2006 inclusive. Codemasters also owns the exclusive computer and video game rights to UK race circuits Brands Hatch, Cadwell Park, Snetterton and Oulton Park. Licensing plays an increasingly important role in the development of Codemasters' titles. In addition to researching and negotiating rights for headline licenses, such as Prince Naseem and Mike Tyson, the department also secures supplementary rights such as wide-ranging motor manufacturers and teams for its Colin McRae Rally and TOCA Touring Cars brands; which can utilise over 200 licenses per game. The department is currently developing music and artist licenses for MTV Music Generator 2, the next generation music creation package on PlayStation 2. Says Andrew Wood, Motorsports Licensing Manager, at Codemasters: "We are continually working to enhance Codemasters' portfolio of top world class motorsport properties and it's terrific to have won the AVESCO rights to the V8 Supercars and Shell Championship Series. As one of the world's classic series, it is of incredible value as we go forward and expand our motorsport franchises". Tony Cochrane, Chairman of AVESCO, the V8 Supercars and the Shell Championship Series comments: "Codemasters has a proven history of excellence for authentically recreating world famous racing experiences in best-selling computer and video games. We're delighted to partner with them and have the company's talent working with us." ____ Codemasters secures exclusive series of motor sport properties in deals with British Motorsport Promoters and Brands Hatch Leisure Group. Codemasters has secured the exclusive rights to a series of major motor sport properties strengthening its acclaimed portfolio of computer and video games that includes the award-winning Colin McRae Rally and TOCA Touring Car series. In a five-year deal with British Motorsport Promoters, the official promoter of the British Touring Car Championship (BTCC), Codemasters is now the exclusive holder of interactive rights to the BTCC from 2002 to 2006. As part of the BMP deal, the British Superbike Championships interactive licence has also been exclusively secured by Codemasters, the racing seasons 2000 to 2006 inclusive. Advantageously for Codemasters, the long-term licensing arrangements preclude properties of the BTCC and British Superbike Championships being associated with any other computer or video game. In a separate deal with Brands Hatch Leisure Group, Codemasters has won the exclusive computer and video game rights to famous race circuits Brands Hatch, Cadwell Park, Snetterton and Oulton Park. Comments Mike Hayes, Codemasters' Marketing Director: "With Colin McRae Rally 2.0 at number one in the best-seller lists and TOCA World Touring Cars heading for a blockbuster launch on August 25th, Codemasters' has an exception pedigree in market leading motor sports games. "These new licensing wins are great news for the future of our key brands, guaranteeing that authenticity and accuracy will continue to be an important part of future product as is the gameplay excellence delivered by our development teams."
