during sebring i spoke with a fellow in the orbit racing paddock area (extremely cool bunch, those orbit boys!), and he thought that the calloway and trinkler vettes already needed more engine restriction. the gt vettes are at the beginning of their curve. you have not seen the last of them. after they are sorted they will be fast! (after all, american cars are whipping the tar out of gts. why not gt?) look out porsche! kipling hugh taylor |

It is a shame that the ACO sees fit to hamper the Porsche machines so much. Porsche needs to make some race versions of its new V10 Spyder so that they can get around the turbo-restrictor limitations.
Callaway has had some success at LeMans with a couple of top 10 finishes with his modified Corvettes. |

It is good to see a few other cars challanging the Porsche's who have been racing since the year dot. However the treid and tested 935 still has many more years of racing to come.
They are cheap, race knowledge is tried and tested on just about every circuit in the world and above all almost bombproof. About 4 years ago one started last at Le Mans, purred gently though the day and night at about 12 noon found itself leading the class and went onto win the class as all the others met problems. Long live the 935 the backbone of sports racing for many years. Simon |
