Séamas M. should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
World Superkart Challenge result?

Has anybody seen or heard the result of the Superkart Challenge from Laguna Seca at the weekend? I've been told that it was won by Mark Owens. Actually, I heard it from his dad!!!

Séamas, I was there and Mark certainly was the winner. It was nice to see someone else win other than Eddie Lawson.

I was particularly excited as I sponsor www.p1superkart.com and their driver, Ron White was leading for a number of laps with Mark running 2nd and Eddie running 3rd. But Ron fell back and went out with a water leak. Mark went on to take the lead and was maybe 2 seconds ahead of Eddie. As the race neared the end, Eddie was catching Mark with every lap and looked like he was about to pass Mark, when slower traffic kept that from happening. The next thing I knew was that Mark was in the lead all by himself, Eddie pulled off with a fuel leak.

The rest of the results are over on ekartingnews.

Séamas, looks like ekartingnews does not have the full results, some here and there in some of the posts. Supposedly, the full results will be on www.worldsuperkarts.com by the end of the weekend (?)

www.250superkarts.com will also have the results as they come in. I just don't get it, the results should have been posted the same day

GREAT race to watch!!

Tom

Thanks Tom, now I'll have to scour the TV schedules to see if any coverage of the event reaches Europe!

Séamas, I wasn't aware of any filming at the WSK event, other than maybe for a video later on. Oh, the ALMS race that was on the same day was televised.

There is a video available that shows the 250 WSK karts: http://www.worldsuperkarts.com/bbs/viewtopic.php?t=18

Tom,

If you hear about any TV, video or filmed coverage of the event let me know. I'll keep an eye on www.worldsuperkarts.com to see when the "official" video gets released.

I have found a site which has pictures for sale of all the competitors, at www.MLPIMAGING.com , looks like high quality photography.
