I don't know yet... I'm not really that interested in/happy with tusc, but living in Daytona it might be hard not to once cars are on the track.

We got our tickets back in September. Needless to say I have
always thought this was going to be a cant miss event whether it was
30 entries or 60. All these drivers finally together, the bragging rights will
be huge for the winners.

If the weather looks decent, may make the 7 hour trip for the Roar. Our last
24 was in 2005 so it may be good to get acquainted again with the grounds
before the race.

Jeast, I would probably spend the $15 bucks and go check out the Roar,
if you think it may be a good show then go do the 24. By the way,
can you see NASA rocket nite launches from the track? There is one
scheduled the Thursday nite of race week.

Tickets came today. Wristbands. Camping / parking window sticker nicer than
the 4 day (ticket) wristband. Oh well, still in. Heading to the Roar in a couple
of weeks after a stop at the Gator Bowl to see the Dawgs.

As much as I have *****ed about the merger I am going, just finished booking today. Will be there all 4 days. I couldn't care less about DP or PC but with 6 P2, 12 GTLM, and 28 GTD (none being tubers) I would like to go to. I went in 2012 as a GA race so it will be nice to ACO spec cars run there. A lot of my racing friends/contacts live in Florida so it promises to be a good time. Are we going to have a meet up? Friday would be good as there is only one hour of USC action and the Conti race that I care about that day.
Jeff are you going?
I will be cheering on Pickett, Risi, AMR, OAK, and Spirit of Race.

I is going.

Will probably get a guest pass for volunteering as a marshal.

Will probably offer the guest past on CouchSurfing for the use of the couch... in case one of you has a spare and actually wants to go watch the race (many CS'ers don't care for racing I've discovered).

Got my tickets now as part of a bigger Florida vacation that week. My wife is being very nice for letting me do Daytona 24. Especially since we have my 2 year old son with us. Will be flying from Philadelphia to Orlando that Saturday morning so to get there by 2 pm should be easily doable if there are no flight delays. Lets hope it does not snow in the northeast that day or the day before.

I think we'll sit by turn one in the grandstands. Best view of the race from there particularly the infield. Also with the cars breaking the engine noise should not be as bad for the wife and kid.

I'll be pulling for the Corvette DP's to win overall. My dream is to see a GTLM car win but since they don't seem to have the speed on the banking to run with the P cars, the Corvette DP's are basically like GT1 cars so I will go for them. But GTLM and GTD will certainly be great to watch. This will be my first time at Daytona speedway since the 1997 Daytona 500 and my first 24. I throw up at the thought that I liked NASCAR at one point back in the 90's. I think by 2002 I was over and done with them. By about 2009 I was through with IndyCar racing. Sportscars however...over the last 20 years I only enjoy them more and more!

that'd be nice... I don't know how many European marshals there will be at this event, I would imagine a few. But I'm taking along my orange overalls, so I'll be pretty easy to spot. No station assignments were made public yet.

Other than a Ferrari race on Saturday morning @ 9:30, the schedule looks pretty open until the green flag. Any idea of a time/place for meeting up?

Thanks,

SCANNER FREQUENCIES

This may have been asked, or exists somewhere else on this forum. Is there a list of scanner frequencies available for the Rolex?

Welcome to the forum. There is a thread on that here: http://tentenths.com/forum/showthrea...hlight=scanner

No list in there, but suggestions and I'm sure as someone gets them they will post.

Scanner

Thanks, I like to program before I go. The software for my uniden only work on an old laptop with a serial port running XP. A clunker to carry around in airports. I'll go with my ALMS and sprinkle the frequencies from the link you gave from Grand Am. Thanks.

I attended Rolex24 in 2013, when it was Grand Am only. As you can see from the picture, it was probably sold out...

And this one speaks for itself.
