wow ... just a little. id expect the wr and autoexes to be over weight becuse they dont have the money to get the cars down to weight.
i wonder why the autoexe is some 148kgs heavier than the wr? i would think the rotary would be lighter than the pug i4. autoexe also doesnt have to worry about the turbo, intercooler, and piping. |

Wow, those Panozes are lardy. Big ol'American muscle car...
Also, anyone else sport the 4kg difference between Audi 2 and Audis 1 and 3? With little Johnny Herbert driving that should be worth a few tenths a lap! |

Nothing unusual about the inter-team weight variations though. Last year the two works Audis weighed in at 912 (1) and 915 (2) respectively. The Champion car was 912 as well, while Johansson's was the lightest at 906. So the works Audis have all managed to trim some weight. Significant?
The Dome is actually 24 kgs lighter than last year. The 17 Pesca Courage was the lightest 900 last year at 900 kgs exactly. The Panoz have really piled on the weight. Last year the (admittedly LMP07's) were 901 and 912. |

I don't get it? All the cars way less than 900kg and are ballasted to 900kg. Is this the weight with the driver but no fuel? I'd love to know the answer so I can re-program my knowledge in this area (and Sports Car GT !)
PS. Race Tech reoport in their magazine the R8 as 870kg before it tucks in to the ballast-buffet. |

Thanks for that confirmation, Waspy, it now occurs to me that not all the cars will weigh the same due to different driver weights.
