Best Liveried Race Cars of All Time
This is the opposite to Dyson Mazda's "Worst Liveried Race Cars of All Time" thread you can find here.
Post the best of the best. I'll get started with, what in my mind, is the best looking prototype of all time, the Lowenbrau 962. |

I was always a fan of Brun's Repsol Porsche.
With some subtle changes to the livery from race to race. Excellent. Even when he had more Repsol cars in one race, they were never exactly the same. IMO Brun had some excellent liveries over the years (the Jagermeister car, the Schiesser car, the Hydro Aluminium car, the Torno cars) |

Surprised the Lizard Porsches haven't shown up yet.
And let's not forget Falken. Several Audi liveries qualify: Last edited by Mechanic Z; 24 Dec 2016 at 17:34. |

Livery holds a lot of very good memories for me, because that was the only Petit Le Mans I was ever able to attend, and it all but cleaned out my savings to get there. Seeing Falkenstein take the win was the perfect finish.

Trouble is that many liveries only work if the car is stationary and you are close enough to see the detail or you take a decent picture from trackside with a good lens . What counts to me is the impact with the naked eye when the car is driven in anger. Sports car winner is any works Ferrari in pristine Rosso Corsa - a 312P will do just fine thanks -or the simply gorgeous McLaren M8 in orenge.
All time best? That would be the sublime Brabham BT52 with Gordon Murray design and Peter Stevens Parmalat livery |

I think it's pretty good, tastes like Becks. Miller used to make it when they were sponsoring Holbert's car but more recently it was actually made in Germany again. Good luck finding it in the U.S. anymore. I haven't seen it for about 5 years. |

Good thread. The good liveries tend to stick around in the brain more than bad ones.
A few thoughts: - As much as I like Risi, a red car with sponsors I wouldn't call a livery. - Flying Lizard Porsches have always been good. - I liked the R15+ - Psychedelic/Hippy 917 was good - Most of the simple Martini liveries - The White/Black M-stripe Z4 GTE's looked good together - Le Mans BMW M3 GT2 art car a few years back was good |
