ModelT should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Cost of airfares and freight?

I just bought the air tickets for myself and 2 sons to go to Le Mans this year for the week, and the costs have gone up a chunk to fly from Atlanta!!!

So I got to thinking, how much do the teams competing in the WEC end up paying to fly their cars and equipment around the world to go racing? Or is this cost subsidized by the ACO, included in the entry fees, which I somehow cannot imagine!?

Anyone know, as I am curious.

Passenger airline ticket pricing has never made sense. Seems to be more about timing then the actual costs to fly the route. Would suspect that air fright is closely tied to cost of jet fuel - so should not be that big of a difference from last year. Not sure about ACO and any discounted rates.

Sorry about your ticket price - but you are going to Le Mans!

Actually, much of the expense is included in entry fees.

The team entry fees for the 2016 WEC, (excluding Le Mans) was € 120,000 plus VAT per car.

Le Mans entry is € 41,000 plus VAT, or € 68,500 plus VAT including fuel per car, plus up to € 38,500 per driver

I think. This info is from FIA headed documents, WEC regulations etc., Its a little confusing!
