No, I didn't mis-spell cart, I mean, what with the recent signings of Button and Raikonnen, do you think that someone would ever be considered for a F1 drive straight out of karting. I know this sounds ridiculous, but then the trend seems to be that if a driver has talent then they should be considered no mater what the step in performance of the vehicle.
On second thoughts, prehaps a testing contract might be more attainable. |

I doubt that would happen because it is way to big a jump..I myself race karts and there is no way in the world i would be able to manage to handle an F1 car ( be lucky to handle a Formula ford i reckon).
but if my memory serves me right former F1 driver gabriele Tarquini came straight from karts into F3000 i believe and he did very well and then moved on to F1 and has since been a touring car champ in England so i guess its possible but i certainly hope that it doesnt happen. |

Maybe but i doubt it,it would only be from the 250 superkart class,after all when David Coulthard drove one he said it was the scariest thing he'd ever done,and the acceleration to 160kph wasn't far off his F1 car.
