New Renault Alpine?

Why isn't Renault using it's Alpine brand? The chassis of the Nissan (part of Renault) 350Z combined with Renault's unique designs could be deliver a nice GT car.

See this website for more info about Alpine.

Logrence should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Because they prefer to capitalise on the millions they're sinking into F1 and use their Renaultsport brand.

There are many brands sitting unused- BMW own the Triumph name (Cars not bikes) and many feel that a new Spitfire would sell well here, even if it was, for example, a reworked Z4 because people who wouldn't buy a BMW might consider a Spitfire.... There are many more examples of unused names most of which will never be seen on the back of a new car again.
Apart from anything else, if Renault did build a new Alpine we could have a lengthy discussion about why it's not a 'real' Alpine...

The Germans have bad memories about Spitfires.
