F3000 champions should be automatic inclusions in F1, considering that it's such a tough championship and they race on many of the F1 circuits.
It'd be nice to see Liuzzi and Wirdheim get a chance next year, and I haven't given up on seeing Justin Wilson return one day. |

He'd certainly be a good addition to the grid.
Michael Schumacher apparently believes Liuzzi could be "the one"... |

Considering the unique skills Jah have showed to spoil drivers' career, I do hope to see Vitantonio on a Sauber.
BTW Liuzzi has been rumored under the attention of Ferrari, therefore a seat in a Sauber would be consistent with it. |

I think it's unlikely he'd make the comments he has done if he's already been for a seat fitting somewhere.

I hope he at least gets a good testing role for next year.
He's done a good enough jod to deserve it. If ferrari have an interst then sauber would be the probable spot. I'm always glad when a good F3000 racer heads straight to F1 rather than to america. Dont start shouting at me yet, I'm not picking on eth American series. It's nice to get to see the F3000 boys on circuits they know but in different circumstances. |

Ironically though, Draven those that go from F3000 to F1 usually end up in America and those that go from F3000 to America end up in F1!

Liuzzi may be at Jaguar if, as is suggested, his current boss Mr Horner takes over at the team.

Horner running Jaguar would be a good fit - he's built up a very storng team very quickly, and but for one over-zealous rule he'd be close to having 3 successive F3000 titles, in a spec series no less. I'd be surprised if he'd hire two rookies to drive for the team - more likely would be Coulthard and Wirdheim with Liuzzi testing. One way or another I hope Vinantonio does get an F1 drive.

Because Sauber is a second Ferrari and he is a possible replacement for MS.

Ah, the Ferrari connection. It has been reported hat Ferrari think he is good. Was it Jean Todt that mentioned it? I also remember a photo opportunity with Liuzzi and Schumacher. Domination in F3000 and F1, that sort of thing.
Even with Davidson, Paffet, Massa (managed by Todt) and others looking at Sauber? |

I think Liuzzi will have to stick it out in F2 or CART/IRL for a year, because that Sauber seat is either going to Davidson or Paffett.
Unless they get rid of massa of course, which wouldn't at all surprise me. |
