Has to change. Didn't say we that last year? Start to believe he will never win on an oval.

John Paul just won't happen at Pocono cause I don't think anyone can beat the 11, except maybe the 48 and 24.
However, I'll be pulling for the Old Man in the 5. Looks as though he was laying down some consistently quick times. |

Yeah Hamlin is terrifying round Pocono. Swept there in his debut year of course.

Personally i think if it is going to happen this season it will be once the chase starts, JPM with nothing to lose V 12 drivers with title aspirations on the line, somethings gotta give.

I have always liked Pocono because it is fast as hell and different from anywhere else they run.
However, the race earlier this year has apparently raised concerns of the safety measures as they are currently installed at the "Tricky Triangle" and rightfully so. The biggest of which is the lack of safer barriers on the inside walls on the straights. Ask Taz about that... http://www.nascar.com/2010/news/head...nts/index.html |

The track is not the problem, the races are just too long.
The field tends to separate very quickly during long green flag runs and that gets pretty boring for 500 miles. Shorten the Cup race to 400 miles and give one Pocono date to whoever wants it...once a year is enough. |

There could be lots of delays today:
http://www.weather.com/weather/today...nd+PA+USPA0935 Or maybe the weather has mercy with us and cuts the race short immediately after reaching the half-distance mark |

Stinks about the weather...depending on how you look at things.

This could be the case for 85% of ALL Cup races AND circuits. ...and NASCAR has already solved the long green flag runs issue at most circuits with debris cautions, which lengthens the race even more. Last edited by fieldodreams79; 1 Aug 2010 at 16:25. Reason: weather delay :) |

And what makes it worse is that both races have their dates very close together, we visit Pocono twice in 7 weeks...that makes it just a bit more tiresome. I would much rather have a second race at Darlington, Chicagoland or Kansas. |

We´ve reached the point I´ve been talking about...the field is extremely spread out and absolutely nothing is happening.
At least my man is leading.... |

JPM did well to hold on that long I thought. Some good racing everywhere, especially between 24 and 42.

That was just a horrific accident. I don't know how to even describe this one. The one who got it the worst was Sadler. He hit the inside wall so hard that the motor went flying out. This was an almost head on hit, and Sadler looks like he's in bad shape.
