Where was Tim Harvey?

He didn't put in an appearance on the testing times from Silverstone, so where was he?

Good question. Knowing the Alfa it was probably the engine.
The Pugs seemed to have closed up though, before the 30kg permanent weight penalty on the Astras.
I am surprised at Luby being 3.2 seconds off the pace though.

It was testing for the night race last nigh at Silverstone. I don't think he has a date clash with the GT's until Knockhill on 22nd July, which I am going to.

He certainly struggled in qualifying (engine again), and Dave Pinkney seems to be more off the pace as every round goes bye!

I'll expect the expected off Les!

Well I was pleased with the weekend for once -

Dave had two finishs which is brill and better than some - OK he was last but in front of the production cars in the feature race. The car handed a hell of a lot better but it is still underpowered.

As for Tim - he was at a wedding Friday and therefore couldn't make testing. The engine had a miss fire all weekend that they couldn't fix.

See how far the car has come from Thruxton - if they can double that it will be up with the Astras. It just needs more power.

You may be interested in the fact that in the second warm up when Tim's car did NOT have a problem Dave was in fact quicker even though he had a defective ECU fitted, and it was in fact, Dave who identified the the modification to the cars at Oulton that resulted in Tim's podium finish! (in the only running car that should have been driven by the paying Driver!!)
