Oulton Park Camping
Has anyone been camping at Oulton? It looks like there are on site camping facilities like Brands Hatch. (I was impressed with Brands) I'm off to see the BTCC there this year and was just after some info.

I have camped at Oulton a couple of times. The campsite is located right next to the track on the inside of Lodge Corner, the setup is pretty much the same as Brands.

Certainly for big meetings, like TOCA, there is a campsite on the inside of Lodge (running down to Warwick Bridge). Extra facilities are normally brought in to assist - but there are showers in the toilet block at the scrutineering bay.

It is unless you get a bunch of noisy ****'s keeping you awake all night, then it's not so much fun. BTCC seems to attract the not-so-nice element to motorsport unfortunately. I hope we don't have a repeat of last year, but i fear i'll only do one day to avoid the problems of falling asleep on post....

You get them everywhere though, there were a few at Brands last year too. I hope they won't be as bad this year as you say though! I just put some earplugs in. Only problem I have is the grounds a bit hard so sleeping on my side gets painful after a bit!

Be a softy - book a £26 room at Middlewich Travelodge.
Only a 15 minute drive from track! |

I like the campsite at Oulton, nice location! I'll be there for the F3/GT opener, hopefully it won't be too cold in mid-April...

was going to ask the same question re Oulton as there is another campsite 15 minute walk away but if the facilities are ok in terms of toilets and clean drinking water I think I'll be staying on track for the TOCA meeting

For TOCA they had toilets and showers set up, and there's taps for water, so you might aswell stay on site, you hardly have to move for the racing if you don't want to!

Never camped there myself but I think it's out side the main entrances, basically in the big field where they park cars for big events.

I live approx 2 mins by car away from oulton park, its a quality circuit and the nearby village is very nice to, good facilities there and also excellent viewing opportunities if you get there early enough!
