Ralf Schumacher actually bought a black Yaris while on a Toyota factory visit. Press stunt most likely, but he still drove it away.
All the factory drivers woft around in their paymasters marque near the track but I expect most of the top drivers have jealousy enducing private collections. I know Micheal Schumacher has some rare cars, a Bugatti EB110 is the only one I can remember though. Coulthard owns a McLaren SLR and has been trying to buy a Mercedes gullwing for a while now... funny how Irvine already owns one. |

Oh ok, just doesn't strike me as a car he would drive. but i suppose the simpler the car the less you get noticed |

Well Coulthard blats around Monaco in a Smart Coupe. Maybe racing in F1 for a living stops them from over compensating on public roads...

Ide and Sato drive around in 4 year old Honda Civics. It's not as bad as you think - they have just had a nice re-spray.

In an interesting diversion, I'm told Honda decided a nice new Accord wasn't the right thing to give Jenson. Instead, he's got a 12 year old Fiat Uno. It's too slow, got rubbish tyres, and blows up every other weekend.

What do F1 drivers drive off track?
Most of them seem to drive their F1 cars off track at some point every other weekend

IIRC Button has an NSX, Schuey an F550/F575.
A while back Hakkinen bought himself a Ferrari as a world champion present. Apprently he had to take it back. Montoya had an M5 at BMW, Webber had a 330ci before BMW, and Pizzonia had a rolling good time behind the wheel of an S-Type R while at Jag. |

Honestly I would hope that RB and JB both are sporting NSX's I still think they are one of the sexier cars out there |

I understand Michael's "company car" is a Maserati.
Naturally, he's got a few more of his own. Though perhaps not as many as Mr Irvine. |

A few years back I saw MS arrive at Silverstone in an Alfa Romeo, as they would not have their own cars following them around the world the drivers probably get something from a local dealer for each race weekend.
I noticed at Silverstone that each Red Bull & STR driver had their own RB motorhome. As Red Bull don't make cars perhaps DC and co. can drive what they like, interesting thought..... ! What energy drink the other drivers keep in the fridge? |

not really on point but it seams RS has had trouble getting used to his Toyota drives. story here
i guess this means he only drives cars with internal rear view cameras built in |

On monday I was at parked outside the gates of Silverstone waiting for someone and Jenson drove past in a red NSX. Two minutes later Anthony Davidson drove past in a Civic!

I would say the Toyota guys would have pretty open access to the Lexus stable.
I know Webber has been driving an M5 since the new model was launched. There was a story around Aus GP time regarding Michael leaving his Quattroporte parked at the hotel and getting around town in a humble rented Toyota Tarago - to keep out of the limelight as much as possible. |

I remember seeing that video of Pizzonia trying to impress a ride-along in a green S-type. He takes it too hot into the first corner and rolls it in the sand, or on the tyre wall. What an embarrassment! |
