I think it's clear some countries will be back: France, UK, Swiss etc
Who'll drive for them - well, if they did well last year, they'll try and keep the same drivers. The big mysteries are the "smaller" teams who didn't do well last year. There's cost and sponsorship considerations, a lack of very high quality drivers, and we can't tell who's "thinking" of joining in at this stage, gossip and rumour isn't really becoming known. |

Until a calendar is set and published there is little point in driver guessing as some drivers may still either be under contract or have already scheduled commitments.

I can tell you that Australia is currently hoping that either Ryan Briscoe (IRL driver) or Will Power (Champ Cars) will be in the seat. It looks as though Will is close to committing.
The Netherlands are most likely to retain Jos Verstappen. However, I have heard Christian Albejrs named mentioned a few times. |

I think the UK have already said that Kerr will not drive this year. I am not sure if Manning will either although I would like him to because he was brought in on the request of Arden and they were dropped.....

If Kerr or Manning dont drive for team GB this year then I think the most like candidates are either Adam Carroll or James Rossieter, although thats assuming Carroll doesent find himself in a F1 role of some sort for the 2007 season. IMO.

I would like to see Peter Dempsey given a run in the Ireland car. Maybe as test driver this year or do the odd race

I think you can guarantee that Alex Yoong will be back in the Malaysia entry since he is the seat holder.
Matt Halliday has stated he would like to be back for NZL although I understand that the NZ Toyota Racing Series winner is also supposed to get a run. Likewise Premat and Lapierre have stated they would like to repeat the experience although if they got an F1 opportunity I am sure that would be prioritised. |

LAst season, Max Welti : owne of the Swiss Licence for A1 GP wanted Grosjean to drive for him instead of Pantano ..... but Grosjean is a RDD driver and he drives this season with the french nationnality, not the Swiss one, and Renault refuse to allow Romain Grosjean to drive in the swiss team ....
perhaps for next season it will be ok for him, I hope so |

Finally GB has decided to run more than one driver. Such a shame that Alex Lloyd didn't get a single race last year.

Haven't seen any info on the tests. Be interested to see how both cars' got on...
Jarvis needs someone to update that website of his, hugely out of date... |

As I understand it Darren Manning and Jarvis are their for GBR (not Kerr) and they + the 2 Canadian guys will all be using the GBR car.

According to autosport.com Manning will race in the 1st round this year because Kerr is racing in the WSR that weekend, the article doesent go into much more detail but from that I would assume that once again Kerr will be doing much of the driving, alongside Manning with Jarvis more in a reserve role in case one of the main drivers is injured and the other driver is racing in another series at the time of the race.

I would imagine so, France after all are the defending champions. A1 is a big series, they cant afford not to be in A1 really. As for Brazil, they under acheieved a little IMO and I think will be back with a point to prove.

Snippet in the Telegraph today says that Lebanon will be competing in the upcoming season; they will be having a shootout at Snetterton in a fortnight or so to decide drivers. Alexander Khateeb will join Baschir, Shaaban and Rahal at the test.
