Thank you, American Pie for the Nexa press release.
Seriously though Nexa have had a great couple of meetings. After Croft I thought that it wouldn’t be long before Valle Makela had his first win, but Sakamoto on pole and then winning at Brands, amazing considering where he has been in the last couple of years. Nexa must be doing something right.
If Sakamoto’s win was more than a fluke then both him and Makela could be serious contenders in the Festival.

I think Yuyas form could hardly be considered a fluke, he has already had a podium finish earlier in the year at Brands Hatch and if you look at qualifying times for last weekend he must have set one of the fastest ever times for a FF at Brands

I wasn't really trying to knock Sakamoto, it was a class drive and he deserved to win. It was just from his form in previous years he has never been really considered to be a driver who could win a race from start to finish. His podium earlier in the year had, in some part, to do with many of the leading drivers going off the track.
But did get on the podium at Snetterton and was up with the leaders throughout the race, so perhaps he has found some form and Nexa have really got a good, sorted car.
So roll on the Festival and I hope Mr Sakamoto’s present form continues.
