Le Mans 24 Hours Fully Live On Motors Tv
Motors TV will broadcast the Le Mans 24 hours in FULL throughout Europe, coverage starting from monday's scrutineerings till race end, a total of over 48 Hours of LIVE coverage.
LE MANS 24 HOURS BECOMES 48 ON MOTORS TV!!! Motors TV (broadcast in 32 European countries to 16 millions homes and in four languages: English, French, German and Greek) has been confirmed as the exclusive pan-European broadcaster for the Le Mans 24 Hours for 2006 and 2007. The channel will be putting in place a unique and never before seen broadcasting operation between 12th and The ‘High Speed Television’, will offer MORE THAN 48 HOURS OF UNCUT AND LIVE COVERAGE! The organisers of the Le Mans 24 Hours, the Automobile Club de l’Ouest, have confirmed: “Following the co-announcement made with the Canal + group, the A.C.O. is delighted to have reached an agreement with Motors TV, which will be the exclusive pan-European broadcaster. The A.C.O. on its side will significantly improve its production set-up and will provide for the first time ever a live coverage of the two qualifying sessions at the end of each day, which Motors TV will broadcast uncut and exclusively throughout Europe.” The week on Motors TV will start as early as Monday and Tuesday with the set-up of a TV studio on the Jacobins square, to closely follow the technical inspections which traditionally take place in downtown Drivers, team managers and many guests stars will be interviewed by Motors TV journalists. On Wednesday and Thursday evenings, Motors TV will broadcast the qualifying sessions of this, the 74th edition of the 24 Hours, and finally, between Saturday morning 9h00 and Sunday 18h00 (CET), the channel will dedicate 100% of its time to the preparation and running of the race! In total more than 48 hours of live coverage will be dedicated to the Le Mans 24 Hours, a unique set-up around the world, which will require a commitment never seen before. Thanks to Motors TV, the fans of the most famous race in the world will not miss a single moment during week! In addition, during the weeks building up to the event, Motors TV will air some programmes illustrating the ‘legend’ of the Le Mans 24 Hours. With this significant addition of the Le Mans 24 Hours to its programming in 2006, Motors TV confirms it leading position as the network for endurance sportscar racing. The network will also broadcast the American Le Mans Series and the full European Le Mans Series. |

That is fantastic news!!! We've just bought a DVD player with built in hard drive so hopefully we can record it all to watch during the long dark winter after the race!!
Well done to Motors and keep up the good work! |

Thats is truly amazing. Great commitment shown by Motors TV.
Now if only I could get a feed down here in Australia, or should I move to Europe. |

Nice one Motors TV! Finally after years of mediocre coverage from Eurosport the Le Mans 24hrs is going to get the coverage it deserves here in Europe.

Hello
Well done MOTORS TV, brilliant stuff, I'm delighted and so are my wife and two daugthers (well that may be stretching it a bit). For all of us who can't make it to Le Mans for one reason or another, this give the event the TV coverage it deserves. Nick |

That the ACO is improving their production facilities and expanding their coverage bodes well for North Americans, too. Excellent news.

Congratulations to Motors TV and well done to the ACO for doing the deal. This is a big step forward (in Europe at least!).
For those of us who'll be trackside, I hope the ACO are now in a position to cover qualifying on the big screens using the MotorsTV coverage. |

Can we Americans get Motors TV??? Speed Channel has become more of a damn NASCAR show than anything. What happened to the old Speedvision that broadcasted 22hrs of le mans 2000, the entire 2001 race, and every year before had about 20 or so hours coverage. Now Speed only shows about 12 or 14 hours. Hopefully Speed Channel will step it up and show 20+ hours of coverage again!!!

Am I the only one not liking this announcement?
That means no LM at Eurosport, so no tv for me then (it's extremely difficult to get MotorsTV in Portugal, only one cable operator, which only covers something like 10% of the country, have it).... If only MotorsTV could arrange a free view, or at least some way to "de-encript" their feed (legally, that is!) to individuals and not only those stupid cable companies! |

As I'm working I get to see very little of the race other than the places I get to “get the picture”. It’s fantastic that I can now come home and watch all the parts I've missed in previous years! The TV audience figures are large, the 2005 figures issued by the ACO TV 321 million, Internet 51 million, 230 k attending for the 24 hour, I know my mother watches every minute she can, so for her to have converge all week she can see the parts she has never been able to see live previously. |

Indeed it does, but if like me you have the Sky+ 160GB box you can record up to 80 hours of TV coverage.
