Monkey Head should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
60th Macau Grand Prix - FIA F3 Intercontinental Cup

This year will be the Diamond Jubilee celebration of Macau GP,despite of 'combination' of F3 Championships in Europe it continue to be a Ultimate proving ground of F3/some of GP3 drivers with very strong line up.

2013 Macau Grand Prix supposed to be first international F3 Race running new generation of engine beside Japan where plenty of engine suppliers have homologated for this year.Thank you to Berger arranged a late race in Paul Ricard 3 weeks before Macau (but removed later on) cause VW and Benz powered teams cannot travel far east with new powerplant with limited time.AS the result all cars have to use old engine. Those regulars will not be the focus on this text but team switching/coming from other series will be noted instead.

Defending Champion Carlin Motorsport would keeping their strong 6 cars line up and probably they bringing some returnees. 2012 British F3 1st and 2nd driver Jack Harvey and Jazeman Jafaar would be coming back to the F3 after they are in GP3 and FR 3.5 this year. Jazeman already raced in BF3 Race for Macau F3 eligibility while Jack Harvey has revealed his willing for race in Macau F3 for 'unfinished business' on season opening.Team Regulars hasn't news therefore have to waiting for entry announcement from organizer.

Fortec Motorsports will be the second largest team in Macau F3 with five cars assault in Macau.4th Visit Will Buller contest with them after he stayed in BF3 season. Fortec is one the best performance team last year (3 Macau debutante in top 10) he may recover something after early departure in European F3 season.Red Bull Junior Tom Blomqvist joining the team from Eurointernational for Macau he may also a black horse with well track knowledge.Only Feilx Serralles and Pipo Derani confirmed mean fortec has one vacancy in the team.Even though Euro Int. lost Tom they will join Macau too,but drivers not confirmed and number of entires too.

Mucke also bringing other drivers : Yuhi Sekiguchi from Japan. He has a magic tour with mucke in Macau 2011 (very late minute sub in wrist injured Super Ho and got 4th place) he making F3 comeback in F3 Master and Macau. However his off pace in Zandoovrt may not give us another surprise.T-Sports is another team would giving a non-regular F3 driver for the field :Mclaren sportcars factory driver Alexander Sims has join the team couple of races, even though he never admitted his willing but he has visited Macau F3 for 4 times as he hasn't made F3 full season in recent 2 years.GP3 front runners Kevin Korjus has tested for team 2 weeks ago and he announced he will race in some of F3 race include Macau at the season beginnings,he may join the race with them now but what he said in Spring is he would join F3 race with double R....

Old Engine rule making big disadvantage for Japanese teams mean they have to switch back from new Di-Engine.Macau regulars Team Tom's was not announced their plan but they already expressed that's not good plan for them.It will not be too surprised for Jafaar elect them like last year as Petronas sponsor if Tom's keep visit macau.

As you'd expect, the line-up looks great. I'm going to go for an Alex Lynn victory, after his incredible pole position on last season's debut.

Thanks for the thread Monkey Head. Looks like we'll have pretty strong grid once again. But no real surprise given the European F3 championship's good shape this year.

Perhaps that isn't surprise is bad news.....when FDA not planned enter Marciello in Masters it isn't too rare to skip Macau too.....despite it much more important and much cheaper as Macau government already paid travelling fee and various comsumables

Fingers crossed. We want Macau F3 hero Michael Ho back!

Be aware Macau takes second place in global life expectancy -- an average of 84.4 years.

Enrty list: http://www.macau.grandprix.gov.mo/gp...nt=100&race=18

Featuring Sainz, Marciello, Korjus and Dillmann

Also, on another topic, pretty good line-up for the Scirocco Masters, featuring lots of former Macau winners and podium finishers: http://www.macau.grandprix.gov.mo/gp...nt=103&race=16

just 28 cars on the entry list

Raffaele Marciello (Prema Power; Dallara Mercedes)
Lucas Auer (Prema Power; Dallara Mercedes)
Alex Lynn (Prema Power; Dallara Mercedes)
TBA (Prema Power; Dallara Mercedes)
Felix Rosenqvist (Mücke; Dallara Mercedes)
Mitchell Gilbert (Mücke; Dallara Mercedes)
Yuhi Sekiguchi (Mücke; Dallara Mercedes)
Daniil Kvyat (Carlin; Dallara VW)
Carlos Sainz jr. (Carlin; Dallara VW)
Jazeman Jaafar (Carlin; Dallara VW)
Jordan King (Carlin; Dallara VW)
Harry Tricknell (Carlin; Dallara VW)
Nicolas Latifi (Carlin; Dallara VW)
William Buller (Fortec; Dallara Mercedes)
Tom Blomqvist (Fortec; Dallara Mercedes)
Felix Serrallés (Fortec; Dallara Mercedes)
Pipo Derani (Fortec; Dallara Mercedes)
John Bryant-Meisner (Fortec; Dallara Mercedes)
Alexander Sims (T-Sport; Dallara Nissan)
Kevin Korjus (Double R; Dallara Mercedes)
Antonio Giovinazzi (Double R; Dallara Mercedes)
Sean Gelael (Double R; Dallara Mercedes)
Sun Zheng (Double R; Dallara Mercedes)
Yuichi Nakayama (TOM's; Dallara Toyota)
Lucas Wolf (URD; Dallara Mercedes)
Katsumasa Chiyo (B-Max; Dallara Toyota)
TBA (Euro International; Dallara Mercedes)
TBA (Jo Zeller; Dallara Mercedes)

So we have three TBA entries.
One at the top team Prema Power. Cheever jr. is unlikely, so perhaps Marvin Kirchhöfer, who also will test for Prema Power in Imola?
Euro International perhaps with Cassidy who drove for them once this season.
Jo Zeller perhaps with Sandro Zeller?

Drivers without a seat:
Cheever, Mardenborough, Lewis, Nissany, Müller, Rudersdorf, Jones, Cellis, Goddard, Caldéron, Van der Laar, Cassidy, Thompson, Cerruti, Bernstorff, Stuvik

Just Carlin with VW engines.

Not regular F3 European drivers are the two Japanese F3 drivers with TOM's and B-Max (not with the same "new" engines they used this season), Sekiguchi with Mücke, Sainz and Jaafar at Carlin, Bryant-Meisner for Fortec, Korjus and Zheng at Double-R

Blomqvist switches to Fortec

okay, so Prema Power with just three instead of four entries.

Euro International with Tom Dillmann
Van Amersfoort with Müller

No Jo Zeller. So we have 27 cars on the grid.

Sad to see TOM'S with a single entry. And... I'm sorry. I'm still new at this. How is that better than just asking them?

Dillmann was never in, he rejected the rumour himself.
It's interesting there are no Euro Open drivers, only 2 from German F3 and 3 from GP3.

I don't remember, but they rarely go which is very odd. German F3 drivers usually go and Italian F3 also used to go. I was expecting Marvin Kirchhoefer to be there with Prema, he completely dominated the German championship.

Another year of no Americans. Shameful because Formula Pacific cars used to run in these events, and we had a winner in the race, too. And there are plenty of Americans who could run well here. I'm sick of the fear of competition with the rest of the world by our motorsport entities

Daniil Kyvat just been announced as Toro Rosso F1 driver. Maybe he will skip the race now and visit COTA on the same date instead?

Hope not. Would be a good promotion for the Macau GP to have a 2014 F1 driver in the field.

In the continued absence of my lottery win, does anybody know whether the race will be televised this year (preferably on UK terrestrial TV) or streamed online?

Just asking...,

Ed Jones replacing Felix Serralles.

No explanations given, hope the back problems aren't returning.

Would love to know aswell. It's a bit of a shame that such a great, historic event has received so little TV coverage in Eurove over the last few years.
