History of driver named "Peter Dikoff"
I am new but glad to have found this site. My current question is: Does anyone know of an ex-racer named "Peter Dikoff". He is around 42 and claims to have run at Le Mans. I have searched a site which has the results from Le Mans from the 1930's to the present and could not find him listed. I have only found 1 reference on the 'net' to him as an ex-race driver. Any help would be appreciated as I am researching this for a friend. If anyone knows of a site with a comprehensive list of names of current and former racers that would be apprecitated as well.
Thanks in advance for any help anyone can provide. osca_lover |

It is possible he raced under a pseudonym - still fairly common in sports cars in the 70s and 80s, although it was a mainly European fashion. However, there are several examples of people claiming to be ex-race drivers who have no experience at all - last year an Italian style magazine published an article about a totally non-existent Formula 1 driver!

No Peter Dikoff on the drivers list from "24 Heures du Mans 1923-1992".

Nothing in "Time and Two Seats", either.

There is a reference to him at:
http://www.houstonisd.org/News/Archi...23RaceCars.htm It just says he's a former racing driver; that's all Yahoo came up with. |

No driver by that name but there is a race engineer, with that name, for a winning Le mans car. Works with a Dupuy.
