Audi R15 Plus Graphic Design
Hi there !
Like all of you, I discovered the wonderful dark carbon new Audi R15 Plus. I asked me how could be the car with a graphic design inspired from the past Audi cars, with a touch of modernity. So, I done this (hoping some Ingolstad boys will come there Ha-Ha !). If you have comments, don't hesitate http://cars-art.over-blog.com/photo-1009827-AudiR15-2010ByCarsArt_jpg.html -> Audi R15 Plus 2010 in original size (click on the magnifying glass on top of the pic ) Bye David |

I like the little red strip/ring on the tyres, it's very subtle but just looks nice! I wonder if Michelin would mind..

I REALLY like your use of red on the nose of the design. The silver/grey of last years really made it look extremely wide, flat and unattractive. The red nose the R10 had needs to be incorporated in their new design similar to that which you have done.

That looks great, I agree with the use of the red on the nose, it really works wonders. And the tyres too, here's hoping someone from Audi takes a hint.

Audi needs to get 'Sea Life' as a sponsor via the München park and paint one up as a Giant Manta Ray.
Your R-10esque livery looks really good, much better than the previous R-15 livery. L.P. |

That is a great livery! I much prefer the new aero to that of the "old" R15 aesthetically.

Wow, thanks a lot guys, that's really cool you enjoy my artwork !
For the little red strip/ring on the tyres, in fact I imagine it directly on the wheel, as a reflective strip. Do you see ? I think this is used on bike Thanks for the link Andy_b, I will try to contact them ! |

To be honest mate ..... youve done a better & nicer job that Audi have !!!
But I wish they would return to their old colors of white , beige , red and brown . There is only one silver arrow now , and thats Benz . |

Hi guys, thanks a lot !
Very good idea for the fin ; in fact, I wanted to get it as visibly light as possible, that's why I used a medium grey with no colours. The badger, what is "Audi PR" ? |

PR = Public Relations , marketing department .
I would send it to them if I were you . To be honest , its the best that Ive ever seen on a works Audi , except for the one off special R8 , that had a special last race paint scheme and of corse the Crocodile Dundee example . I think you have done a very smart job indeed ..... kinda throws me back to the phycadelic Porsche 917 days . Send it to them , it wout do any harm , and we may end with a nice looking Audi !!! Wonder what it would look like in yellow ..... and black ? Or the area between the swirls colored in , like the Porsche 911GT1-98 had . One car had dayglo red , the other dayglo yellow , and this doubled up as ID flashs as well as looking smart . |

Ok thanks The Badger !
And thanks a lot for all your compliments To be honest, I sent this illustrations to the 7 chairmans of Audi AG and other different services ; not so easy to find mail adresses. But who knows, may be they will enjoy my work. Like we say "who attempts nothing have nothing" ! I am in love with the psychedelic 917 too, good times when graphism had a real place in race cars. But today, you must compose with partners etc (Sorry for my nearly english........ and thanks to the Google translator...) |
