Hi,
Why was Audi the only factory team at Le Mens? Also, what is the engine limits for the Le Mens race cars? I am more of an F1 fan, and don't know too much about Sportscars |

Le Mans I trust...
Rover / MG / Lola (all the same thing) are sending a works entry!!! Probably going to be badged an MG.... It of course won't be competitive and will be totally unrealiable (as are all MG's so that doesn't matter) But apart from that, not sure anyone else is going to bother... An Audi walkover... |

The ACO's rules for LeMans are byzantine to say the least, but there is much freedom on engine displacement. The BMW V13 LMRs ran 6.0 liter V12s, while Audi ran 3.6 liter turbocharged V8s. Panoz has run 7.0 liter Ford derived V8s but is switching to 4.0 liter dohc V8s next year. The rules use ballast to equaize the displacement advantage and most of the teams are moving toward smaller and lighter cars. The funky shaped Lolas run by Rafaneli use an endurance version of Judd V10 F1 powerplant.
