Click here to see a driver-by-driver breakdown on how points were awarded. Remember also that you lose 5 points if your 2-car team retires, and 7 points for a 3-car team.

I protest the number of points I was given. IIRC, I have Paul Tracy, Bruno Junqueira, and Jimmy Vasser on my team. By looking at your chart, Bruno picked up a total of 34 points, Paul had a total of 24 points, and Jimmy got 18 points, thus totaling 76 points. Even if you only used Paul and Bruno, as Jimmy was added to my team after my initial announcement of my team, I would have 64 points.

mandretti... It would help if I knew which team you were!
(The spreadsheets Liz provided me with show only team names, and does not associate them with member names). Is Vasser your #3 driver? Tracy + Bruno + Vasser's Charger points 24 + 34 + 3 = 61 Last edited by macdaddy; 4 Sep 2004 at 18:58. |

Two-Car Teams:
Both pilots receive ChampCar points in relation to their finishing positions, and any poles won. Both pilots receive Charger/Slider points. If both cars retire, you lose five points. Three-Car Teams: If your two primary drivers both finish: Your two primary cars get points for position and poles. All three cars get Charger/Slider points. If one of your primary drivers DNF's: Position and pole points are awarded to the primary driver who finishes and the third driver. All three get C/S points. However, if your third car also DNF's, position points revert back to the two primary drivers. And, if all three cars fail to finish, you lose seven points. I'm not sure, but I think that this is how it was done all along. |

Again... This is all new to me. I'd encourage everybody to post using their team name, if ya don't mind. Otherwise I won't know which team you're referring to. And I'd be remiss... ...If I didn't thank Liz for providing me with this well-setup game for us to continue to play. I realize now just how much time she must have put into this thing. And therefore, thanks also to her, for doing it for so many years. Cheers. |

Thanks for clearing that up for me, the score you gave me is correct. BTW, my team is Underwood/Andretti Racing.

In fact, I've noticed that there were a few instances where identical teams had small point discrepancies, so I've fixed them all up. The standings at the top of the page have reflect any changes.

Hey macdaddy
What do you have for drivers for team Crashandbang. Im under the impressiont that it it PT , SeaBass and AJ as the third driver. But the pionts seem to come from only having PT and SeaBass. Can you clearify this for me Thanks |

The list I've got shows yours as a two-car team, w/o AJ.
Your points are consistent with that, also. There are six teams with that lineup, thus the perpetual tie for that position in the standings. Sorry... I know that's not the answer you wanted. Last edited by macdaddy; 7 Sep 2004 at 18:23. |

I'll recalculate round-for-round and give you a new total, but I gotta tell you that perhaps I'm not scoring the way Liz was. Therefore, you stand an equal chance of losing points. Just let me know and I'll do it before Laguna.
Or else, if you want, you can keep the points you had up to and including Denver, I'll figure out your points from Montreal onward with AJ on your team. |

To be fair it should be recalculated for the whole season. but that will be up to you. What ever way you want to proceed with it will be fine with me just let me know what you choose

Well... I took over this thing as of Montreal, so I'll take your 3rd car into consideration as of that race. Thus, you can add ten points to your current total. I'm not going to bother changing the standings on page-1, because I'd have to renumber everybody. But it'll be reflected after Laguna.

Extreme...
Changing the spreadsheets and I notice that there is one other team that features PT SB and AJ. It would therefore be very easy for me to calculate your points from the beginning of the season if you wish (already been done!) But, because I've already made my post above, I will once again give you the option of how you'd like to continue... |

So you want to go with those points that you would've had, if your team was scored with three cars from the beginning? I think that's fair, and you'll be happy with the results.

Team CrashandBang's actual point total is now reflected in the standings.
