Race For A Cure - Driving a Formula Vee across Australia!!!
Hi all
That heading is not a joke at all. A guy called Bruce Welsh is driving his racing formula vee <with headlights indercators and tyre mud gards> from Western Australian to Melbourne. He left yesterday morning from the swan river foreshore. He is trying to raise money for a very good cause. The cause is Juvinile Diabetes. For the South Australians on Sunday he hopes to depart Port Augusta at 9am 12 miday depart port pirie at 2pm he should depart port Wakfield 4pm departs Two Wells 6pm arrives in Adelaide Monday 28th they are ment to be spending time in the rundle street mall area with the help of the South Australian Formula Vee Group. So If anyone is free please go down there and donate and have a look at something different!! There is more to come and I will up date this and all the bits in victoria. Im just working off a small breif Itinerary that needs a bit of work. He's trying to make melbourne by wednesday second of march. Go to this site for a small brief. www.fvee.org.au |

Dont worry about the radio think about his back end in the seat! there not any real padding it a true race seat!

Absolutely brilliant!! I wish it was thought of earlier... All the best to Bruce & all involved! You're right Nivola, open wheeler seats aren't the most comfortable for a long haul - ouch!

its a home built chasis I think. i truely cant remember!!! He has had it awhile. I will get back to you on that later!

I too wish him well...all for a very good cause....but
with 20,000km to travel why didn't he pick the F5000...Bartz...yeah...bring it on!!! |
