2005 a lot of people running around like headless chickens, a parade of a race. The fans still turned out though.
2006 a million times better, a lot of passes and great racing, much better layout, wider not the silly chicane or rail crossing..Smashing event, one of the better of the year. 2007 I am looking forward to the DP 01 taking San Jose by storm... lol |

2005 was a procession, but the image of all 18 cars jumping and getting air on the rail tracks was amazing.

Yeah, that was great. Dramatic pictures!
I really do hate San Jose with every fibre of my being. But Road America is next up! |

Sebastien Bourdais left it until the last 2 or 3 minutes of qualifying to claim provisional pole
But the amazing thing is the entire field is covered by just over 1 second , very close indeed |

1 second from 1st to last. CC definitely is more competitive all round. It is a short lap but still impressive.

PROBLEM
Now there seems to be a problem , a corner worker has noticed that a manhole cover is loose and is being kicked up a bit by the cars as they go over. The session has been red flagged. could be a very serious situation if left unattended, hopefully they can get it sorted quickly |

Great race, there seems to actually be a growing parity I really couldn't tell who was going to win until the last lap. The crowd seemed to be in no hurry to leave and gave Robert a big ovation.
Rahal looked good but keeps making those "youthful" mistakes. Looks like Kathrine won't be in CC next year. |

Were we watching the same race? Do these guys know how to enter the pit lane, for example, without driving right into the back of someone?
I understand part of the problem is that the track itself does not lend itself to racing anything much bigger than a Formula Vee, but for drivers in a "top tier" racing series these ongoing incidents from Wilson, Doornbos, Clarke etc are not demonstrating a high level of driver competence. Legge, Figge, & Clarke are on the short list to not be in CC next year based on what they have shown so far. |
