Just got my copy of this DVD in the mail this morning.

It's not bad but it's not fantastic either. What year was the V8 Supercar category launched ? I ask because most of the accidents shown seemed to be from 1998 to 2000 with a couple of 97 Bathurst crashes thrown in.

One good thing was though that they did show a few camera angles of certain incidents that never made it onto the TV.

This DVD would have been much better if they could have quickly run through a breif history of the format. I've been following the category seriously since the VT was introduced (late 1998) but I'm sure there are several newer fans than I that would like to know how the whole thing came about.

Anyone else have this yet ?

Ive never heard of this DVD but it does sound very interesting ...especially the extra camera angles.

the V8 only class started in 1993 allthough 2 litre cars still raced with them ..it wasnt until 1995 that it was exclusivly V8's...I carnt remember when they changed the name to "V8 Supercar" it was just after IMG got involved and I think that may have been 1997 ..but im not sure

There aren't a lot of those extra camera angles Marcus, just a few but interesting none the less.

The DVD goes for 70 minutes.

I got mine from:

So that DVD is all about crash footage? Any DVD or season in review video tapes?

Actually I've only seen it in VHS form in at Target. 70 minutes of crashes that I'd already have from every other video I have, I think it might be $25 better left in the pocket for the moment... wait until it's in the $5 bin

kmchow- they bring out a season review every year, as well as a seperate Bathurst video tape. There is acutally a series of 5 videos covering Bathurst from the early years (i think 1966) up until 1996, which are just ace.

I could get you some contact deatails if you like, I think Ray might sometime work for them
