HELP! Spa 24 hours...
Planning a trip, but need just some basic 'how much' and any pitfall information from people who have been before.
Route is sorted, just need to know anything to watch out for. Cheers... |

One tip to save you money, women and children are free, use your imagination to reduce the overall costs.
The circuit is absolutely wonderful and with a little effort you can walk around the whole track, looking down on the cars from the clifts (well they seem like that) is great as is watching from the path which is below the level of the track near the carting you look through the bottom of the safty barriers and seem to be only inches from the tyres. It is well worth the trip |

I checked the official site but ticket prices are not available yet. Weird enough timing schedule is already known, usually it's the other way around.
anyway keep checking the official site, ticket prices should be announced soon. http://www.total24hours.com/index_flash.asp |

I'm not sure, but I think last year it's been something between 20-30 EUR. Don't recall it exactly, but it's not really that expensive for a full weekend.

Tom, and Satorian, many thanks for your help.
I've also checked out the camping/facilities thread from last year, and it sounds like we're pretty much going to be self sufficient! No worries, my other hobby involves climbing in the mountains, so I can manage that OK! Anyway, ferry tickets are booked, so the next job is to set up a 10 tenths meet at spa? |

Last year it cost 55Euros for a general entrance including the paddock and an additional 5Euros for the open seats opposite the pits down the hill towards Eau Rouge.
Concur with GT6 - this is a wonderful event, with unrivalled viewing all around the circuit. There are several campsites in the vicinity - in the town of Francorchamps (as you descend the hill towards La Source on the right hand side). Also a popular site can be found by turning left at the roundabout at the pedestrian entrance to La Source. 400mtrs on RHS. There is also a campsite at Les Combes, within the circuit perimeter, but I get the impression that this is reserved for marshalls and other members of the RACB. Every year I've been, folk make camp in any of the car parks too - so you won't have any probs |

The paddock pass had the advantage of allowing one to take some shortcuts when walking the track though. |

I also remember it being something like 30 Euro´s. It´s a shame you have to pay to get onto the grandstands. Plus the ones at Eau Rouge have been bought by the sponsors I think.
If you want to see sports cars at Spa I advise you to go to the LMES. I've been to the 2005 race and it was the best event I've ever been to. Prices were really low (20 Euro's I think), paddock was free, the teams were nice and you could walk around in the pitboxes. Where else can you stand in the pit garage and see a Prototype pit right in front of you? I assume British F3 and the World Series will once again both run a race on Friday? |

Prices just emailed, and up on the site.
30 Euro general admission, 60 euro incl paddocks and grandstands? We do have Renault World Series British F3, and Trofeo Maserati as well. Just off to book a Formule1 room for Sunday night... |

Well, just booked tickets.
Including 10.40 Euro for recorded delivery, 130 Euros worth. Unlimited paddock entry, plus grandstand entry. So, Sean, is anyone going to be wearing your overalls, this time? Seeing as I said hello to a guy wearing your kit at Silverstone, only it wasn't you??? Or are you STILL giggling over me? |

There do seem to be several folk who are going, but no further info yet...
Is there a decent pub on the circuit to meet in? |

There used to be one in the middle of the paddock...think it is still there despite the reconstruction works.
Wooden cottages with ice cream, frites, beer, soda...near the endurance pitboxes, red tower and pedestrian/car tunnel below the run towards Eau Rouge. |
