Don't really know...
...how to put self-explaining title for this one.
Michael Schumacher - 5 time world champion, one of the best drivers ever, owner of many records (allmost all), one for whom many people say is the best when needed, never did one thing: he NEVER won last race of the year when it was a deciding one!!! Or, to put it in better perspective - he never scored points that he needed for WCC in the last race when it was deciding! Is it time to 'break the rule'? Or is the tradition gonna prevail again? I know it's a long shot, but we (non-Michael Schumacher fans) can still hope. |

It's true, he has stumbled under pressure over the last few years, but he certainly didn't yesterday. Ferrari have got to get both cars to the front, for the WCC, so I reckon Rubens will win in Japan...

The pressure is off Schumi now - he will fly in Japan

But it could be finely balanced. The need to win or the need to finish eighth. But it's not exactly a decider.

If Michael does indeed win the title it will be the first time he has done so without winning the first race of the year.

I dont think suzuka's going to be a deciding race, there's always the ulikely chance of a DNF, but i think its more likely to say Schumi will be WDC 2003 as well

Neither have Ayrton Senna, Nelson Piquet, Nigel Mansell, Niki Lauda, or even JVil.

I've been thinking about this....
With MS's amazing reliability record, wouldn't it be crazy and ironic if he had a failure at Sazuka and Kimi won? |

If Coulthard crashed into Schumacher and Raikkonen won, it'd be probably perfect. (No intention from DC, he'd just take him off while trying to actually control the car...)

I think something would have to happen for the Ferrari for Schumacher to not win the WDC, if he's still circulating at the end he'll be in the points somewhere.

Yes,
it's hard to find out what kinda pressure he has to feel, since one sole point (but i think that Kimi won't easily win) is enough. In 1997, 1998 he had to do much more. |

Not exactly, in 1997 he was, i guess, one point ahead of JV, but he couldn't afford a 2nd place, since JV was battling him for the win of the Spanish GP.
