Ralf - those were the best days of his life
The last GP of the season. Ralf demonstrates how clearly rattled he is by JPM that he flagrantly crosses the line on exiting the pits behind Rubens and then blocks to the point of cutting accross the cichane to maintain an advantage.
Meanwhile his team mate has done a Houdini on him. The off season could not have come quick enough for Ralfie. But where to from here. A famous last name can only get you so far it seems. |

Couldn't agree more Moff, poor old Rock is totally out of his depth now and drowning in the sea of Juan. He was reported on the coverage to have complained in a recent interview that Williams clearly need a number 1 and 2 driver.
On behalf of Juan, White Lines, let me be the first to thankyou for accepting the role as Juan's number 2. |

To speak the truth, I didn't see Ralf race today. Uhn... well did he race today ??
Now I'm not Ralfabating, but maybe he is just confused after his marriage... some guys can't stand waking up with a woman (like CORA ) in his bed. |

A bit more enlightenment on domestic life
Just wait until a screaming little'un arrives in a 'monocot'! Game over - Ralf! If you're grumpy now - just wait!
Having said that kids are great in making sure you are up in time for the GP! We'd already had breakfast before the formation lap!!! |

Ralfie boy, don't let the Williams door hit your butt on the way out.
Juan is here to stay. And boy, does he ever have the performance and psychological edge over you now. One word to describe Ralf's performance this afternoon: PATHETIC! |

He still managed to salvage a point from it. How come when DC spent 40 laps at Monaco trundling around behind an obviously slower car and then came fifth, it was "good on ya for scoring a couple of points". Ralf spends the whole race in the top 6 and gets slated for it. He was closing Barrichello down towards the end of the race and he overtook Hakkinen before his second pitstop, so he did more than some. |

Ralf's crossing the line with half his car was a very sudden and violent move in order to avoid an accident with Rubens, who had trouble switching off his pit lane speed limiter. This was the reason why there was not another 10 second penalty. This was investigated by the race stewards.
Having said this, I am not going to enter into flame baiting RG, who is one of our most enthusiastic and friendly members here. Flame baits are not permitted in this forum, remember? and this is supposed to apply to moderators as well. JPM was great - why can't we just leave it at that without excessive gloating? As I said two weeks ago, he who gloats last gloats best. JPM rules!! His driving today was actually better than Michael Schumacher's effort, so there!! And I did not appreciate MSch's swerve at the start - it just makes one wonder what the hell he was instigating before the start at Indy in the quest for a safe start - what bull$hit. |

Come on, Ralf's Girl, you've got to admit that Ralf's results have been very poor lately.
During the last 3 races he only got 7 points. If this season would have lasted 23 races, even Montoya might have cought up with him! |

Such a short memory from such an esteemed member of the forum! Don't tell me that humble pie isn't all that nice to swallow. One man's meat being another man's flame bait Relax and go with it. Sorry Steph. Another unconvincing display from the baby bro'. But then we need something to sustain us over the long hot summer (depends where you are I guess). |

Yes I'm rattled at the moment but jeez, over the whole season look at the stats! Points 49-31, Wins 3-1 (should of been 4-1, bloody white line!) and HIS only win was at Monza when no one else was interested!
(and it's not true that I paid Jos in Brazil). OK I've has a few bad races of late but fair suck of the sav! I've had me missus in my ear, naggin' about getting married & getting up at 3am to change nappies. I'll be back next year, that OTHER bloke will blow his engine too many times again anyway. I STILL ROCK!!! (Mikey thinks so anyway) |

Montoya is something special and williams know it.
Instead of being sulky and spitting your dummy out Ralf, why not look at Montoya's data, watch videos of how he drives the car and even work together to improve not only the car but your individual performances too. |

Well. RG, didn't DC start from P22 and end up 5th, a gain of some 17 places, admittedly mostly thanks to other's misfortune. But, "Desperate Dan Schumacher" , started from P3 and finished in 6th, a loss of 3 places, mostly due to him making a rookie mistake which earned him a stop go penalty. He was also lucky that Ruby got past him just after he repeated his earlier mistake or else he would have got another stop go. Robert |

Yes, JPM was good... But who won the race? As usual... <yawn>
And I'm sure it'll be the same next year ... As far as Ralf goes, he'll be just fine next year. Big bro will tell him what's what in the winter, he'll settle in with his wife, and he'll be back stronger next year. But boy, JPM is sure having alot of "beginner's luck" Last edited by Inigo Montoya; 14 Oct 2001 at 13:03. |

LAY OFF RALF
I can't believe you guys.
A couple of races dosen't make a whole season. If you reversed the races would you be saying the same thing about JPM? 4th place in the championship is a fine effort considering the errors made on his & his teams behalf. You guys have short memories. His Brother aside, he was the most impressive driver last season. Granted in the last 3 seasons, Ralfie has had 2 newcomers to compete against & Zanardi but he has comfortably beaten all of them. Next year will be a better indication of where Ralf lies. But considering the massive family reputation he has had to live up to, he is still an excellent F1 driver. How long did it take Mika to win? Average drivers don't win GP's! Anyhoo keep your short sighted judgements until next season. |

Welcome Ralf !
Don't bother with all the guys bashing Ralfie. If you want to stay around, you better get used to that. There are many Ralf supporters and JPM's as well. Don't be fooled by Inigo, the Montoya in his nick isn't from the Colombian driver. he's a truly TGF admirer, and give seconds thoughts about his lil bro... Don't you ever cross Moffie's path he's a well known Ralf-fans-eater ! And there's Ralf's Girl, erhn... you know, her preferences then... and she's widely supported by our members (I'm not counting Moffie). Keep you sense of humour and you'll live long here ! |

With 2 egos that size that'll never happen.
I think what they're doing with the car is fine. If the pit crew didn't leave them on jacks, they paid attention to white lines, their engines lasted & people stopped ramming them from behind they'd be a lot better off. |

Formula Juan has outperformed little bro in the second half of the season in spite of what don K. and RG can say about the points situation. Having attained some kind of reliability in Williams Formula Juan is way ahead of little bro and that is a painful FACT.
Button to replace little bro? I don’t think so. He needs a real teammate. If not he is going to collect all the records in F1 like Schumacher has. Villeneuve should be the one moving to Williams. Little bro must know Suzuka more than his living room. He has raced there 5 years in F1 and many races in F3. Yet he could not hold Barrichello behind. |
