[Official] Monaco Grand Prix - Predictions Contest 2023 - Round 7 of 23 - Results

After winning the opening two rounds, Beau2 is back on top (of the championship too) with a win in the Monaco Grand Prix. Further analysis will follow tomorrow, but for now, you can see how close the points are. Remember that we are using dropped scores, so if you look like you're not so much in the running, you can still bounce back. Do you take a 'high-risk' approach and go for big results or still stick with safer consistency? It's up to you!

Please note that after the shelving of Imola, the best 18 results of the probably 22 rounds will still count (the best 15 scores in the 16 rounds without a sprint and the best 3 in the 6 rounds with sprints).


What happened in Monaco

There were 14 entries for the second Grand Prix in succession and, unlike the last round where 9 people got the 1-2, no-one predicted both Verstappen and Alonso in 1st and 2nd this time.

8 put Verstappen to win and this was the highest correctly-predicted driver in his right finishing position, followed by Norris in 9th (5 people).

6 people had Ocon in there, but no-one had him higher than 7th.

The most common omission from the top 10 was Piastri - no-one predicted him in their top 10 anywhere.

Pérez was, unsurprisingly, the most commonly-predicted driver who didn't feature in the top 10, predicted by 100% of competitors.

After him, it was Stroll, predicted by 11/14.

TrapezeArtist had the highest number of top 10 finishers (in any order) - 9.

The person with the lowest number was rika, who had 6.

8 people predicted Verstappen to qualify 1st, 2 Alonso to qualify 2nd and 2 Leclerc to qualify 3rd, giving a total of 28.6% of top 3 qualifying positions predicted correctly.

No-one predicted Mercedes's fastest lap.

9 people had Red Bull's fastest pit stop.

5 went for mixed weather conditions.

No-one predicted Ocon as Driver of the Day.

Only Born Racer Fan and Gnussi predicted Verstappen as Driver of the Grand Prix.

No-one predicted Alpine as Team of the Grand Prix.

Half went for a 6 or a 7 for Rate the Grand Prix.

Only Gnussi got that there would be 18-19 finishers.

5 went for 2 pit stops.
