Number Juan has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
nope, my sterring wheel has gone arse over tits up and the computer refuses to recognise that its bloody well connected when it is...very annoying.

i think i might have to purchase another wheel, possibly a sidewinder - something that has a lot more quality than a pants £20 knock-down from Game.

I've got the MS FF sidewinder, its superb. It's been well used over the last 3 years with no trouble at all.

I'm really looking forward to Gp4 as I loved Gp3 and much prefer this series to the EA Sports F1 games.

But, I would like to see a demo for it first.

I couldn't even run GP3 on my pentium it was about 3 times slower with all the clever things switched off.

It has been sooo long since a truly decent racing sim has been released. After the disappointment of V8 Challenge which got boring after only 2 weeks of occasional play I'm really looking forward to something to sink the boot into.

I have F1 2002 from EA, and I LIKE IT!!, it's certainly better than GP3, the sound is fantastic and it has the latest cars, drivers and tracks already installed.(I also have F1 2000 wich I did'nt like so much).

It's taken the near perfect GP3 and made it even better. They've simply tweaked the existing format and bolted it to a very sexy looking new 3d engine.

The thing is that you've got to remember that GP2 was as close to perfection as it got, at leat in what gameplay was concerned. GP3 could only add weather and 3D ahrdware support and GP4 of course can only improve that.

Check again Sharky, GP3 was a huge improvement in realism for driving over GP2. The biggest thing was that it was hard to get the car to slide around realistically with the throttle in GP2. That all changed in GP3.

GP3 may be the best game out so far, but I'm sure GP4 is in an improvement in realism too, and I'm not talking about graphics.

My question, is what kind of a system do you need for this?

Well, now that you mention it Jay. I think you're right. GP3 had a more realistic "feel" than GP2.

With regards to the system requirements....MINIMUM : Windows(r) 95/98/Me/XP Processor : Intel Pentium (r) II 400 MHz or equivalent
Memory : 64MB RAM/ Video : 16MB DirectX 8.0 compatible Video Card/ CD-Rom drive : 4XCD/ Hard Drive : 100 MB/ Sound : DirectX 8.0 compatible Sound Card/ DirectX 8.0 /( Supplied with game)

RECOMMENDED : Windows (r) 95/98/Me/XP Processor : Intel Pentium (r) III 750MHz or equivalent/ Memory : 128MB RAM or more/ Video : 32MB DirectX 8.0 compatible 3D Card/ Hard Drive : 600 MB/ Sound : 100% DirectX 8.0 Hardware Accelerated Sound Card with EAX Support/ DirectX 8.0

BTW, go to http://www.gamespot.co.uk/stories/sc...109986,00.html for screenshots.

Somebody know if the new GP4, has Safety Car? and marshalls waving blue flags to slow cars? GP3 has nothing of that. And one question I have a Pentium 1.3GHz but despite this the "processor occupanci" sometimes is 90% why happen this, may I play GP4? Chao!

No, I don't think that GP4 has a safety car.....I don't think that there's a need to include one in an F1 game. Perhaps in a CART game.

About the processor occupancy do not worry. That just means that you're running at full detal, high resolution and that the game is pushing quite a lot of frames per second. As long as it's under 100% you're OK.....although.....what type of video card do you have on your PC?

Anyway, GP4 should run perfectly on your PC.

I got it and it's great!! Found a friend with a 1.4ghz PIII and Geforce 2 and it runs really smoothly with medium detail. The handleing and AI have been tweaked to as near perfection as possible with many neat touches making the whole experiance seem better. More as I play...

Ughh... I have an AMD T-Bird 800 with an old GeForce...emm.. I'm debating it.. I know the T-bird should be a bit faster than its pentium equivalent, but the video card definately needs to be replaced..

Maybe I'll get it anyway, I'm sure I'll upgrade eventually..

This game is superb!! After a few days of play now I can safely say this is the best F1 sim around by quite some distance.

The AI has been improved to the nth degree with you needing to genuinly fight hard for every position. They make errors cover their line aggresively and generally do what ever they can to keep you behind. It's fantastic!!

The graphics, after a bit of a play, are very good but they will require some tweaking as the recommened settings are very ropey.

The sound is excellent from your car to the cars around you and the noises from the crowds. It is very difficult to fault.

Overall I'd say if you like F1 you'll love this game. The handling does take some getting used to and even for a GP3 vetern, will seem quite twitchy to begin with. Persever, however and you'll find easily the most euthentic and enjoyable F1 sims available.
