Paul O'Neill
Just back from Silvertone, it's very late (or is that early) and well past my bedtime but had to post this.
Well done to Paul O'Neill for scoring his first ever BTCC podium finish. If' you've been following Paul's progress this year you'll know that he's put in for great performances but the results on paper don't realy do that justice. You'll also know that Paul has something of a self belief problem. When we spoke at Oulton Park and again today at Silverstone the one thing that was clear was that he desparetly needed a good result, if one to get the confidence back. Third in the sprint was exactly what the doctor ordered. Paul, well done mate, I'm so pleased for you. Hopefully this will silence some of the critics. Same again next time ? |

I have to say well done as well. He's obviously had a hidden talent for years and the Pug is the best car for showing it off to the max.

Excellent result Paul - well deserved. We tried to come and congratulate you at the end of the evening but couldn't find you. We were then held hostage by those evil people at the B&Q team who forced us to drink their beer...
Anyway, come join us again at Donington on the Saturday night - we're organising a bit of a bash on the campsite and it'll be great to hear all about Silverstone. Well done mate! |

Congratulations Paul! I've never run back to the pit lane for trophy presentations so quick in my life before! All that hard work has paid off and you have to the trophy to prove it! I think you got an extra soaking of champagne from the other drivers as well
I believe it was 5th place in the feature race as well so all in all, a great day for Paul. Hope you did some celebrating last night |

Hello everybody, it was great to know there were a lot of people supporting me and it was hard to get to sleep last night but also to drive in the feature race with those terrible conditions. I still can't believe it now, I just hope they dont see the tears in my eyes on the tele! I do remember a certain MR Clark saying in an interview that a podium may not be far away! It was so good to be up there and you are right, they all hammered me on the podium and I loved it! Anyway a great thanks to you all and I tryed to flash my lights in your direction! Thanks everyone, see you next time.

Craig wasn't the only willing hostage believe me.
Paul, it would be good to see you join us for the Donington party. Didn't get much of a chance to chat to you on Saturday, but hopefully will at Donington. Also of course, a big well done for getting on the podium. It's been worth the wait and I'm sure there will be plenty more. Keep it going for the rest of the year and lets see the top step for you at Donington. |

Well done Paul! - you were really quick around Silverstone - that must have been quite a confidence boost.. Hopefully more of that to come!
Sadly, I won't be able to make it to Mondello, or the race at Donny, but I'm going to have to try and make it for the party at Donny |

Well done Paul, i was very impressed. Watching you through Copse you looked very much "on it" through out both races. It was nice to see someone genuinely delighted at scoring a good result too. Keep up the good work.

Well done Paul!! I'm looking forward to seeing it on the TV, it's the only way I get to see Touring cars at the moment.....I only get to see the back of them in the races at the moment!!
It was terrific to see someone really enjoying the moment, I think you are enjoying this almost as much as me! What happened to Annies car by the way, I saw it pull up on the start/ finish straight? |

Most of my podium pics didn't come out that well, but I think this pretty much sums up things.

Alright John? Annies car had a snapped throttle cable mate, these pugs are fast and fragile mate. By the way I look nearly as happy here as I did on the podium!
