Heres a list of GT3 cars that i compiled to see what could be running in the GT1 World Championship this year which will be run to GT3 specifications.
Alpina B6 Aston Martin V12 Vantage Audi R8 LMS BMW Z4 Chevrolet Corvette CR06/Camero Dodge Viper (new 2012 version ??) Ferrari 458 Ford GT Lamborghini Gallardo LP600+ McLaren MP4-12C Mercedes SLS AMG NISSAN GT-R Porsche 911 GT3 Its by no means an exhaustive list there plenty of older GT3 not included but it should be pretty up to date on the newer ones. |

Unsure as to whether that's been officially confirmed, though. |

In 2006 had some Maserati Grand Sport Light. And in 2005, in the test sesions and in the launch in Monaco had Venturi Heritge and Lotus Exige. What happend with the Cadillac CTS that race in SCCA World Challenger? Can this car to be homologated to GT3? |

Do many of the teams get full or partial manufacturer support or are just 'customer' teams?

However i expect in this years (2012) GT World Championship which is being run to GT3 specification most teams will be receiving some sort of manufacturer support, as the point in the championship is to have a closely linked customer team running a manufacturers cars without it being a full works team. However there are some cases manufacturers can be more heavily involved such as this years Spa 24hrs part of the Blancpain Endurance Series in which Audi ran what was basically a works teams (Drivers & Engineers). |

The Lotus has raced in British GT and there is one still racing down here in Australia, although in its current form I dont think it strictly meets GT3 regs . The Cadillac CTS was built to SCCA regs not GT3 so is in no way a GT3 car more of a touring car then anything. Nice cars though. And Nissan with their support of JRM running the GTR GT3. And I suppose you could put McLaren and CRS in there as well. |

Most likely as Audi wanted their name to be on the winning cars (which it was) while the McLaren and Nissans were more development projects so if they had technical problems and blew up there names wouldn't be on the cars. |

Would Young Driver count as a pseudo-works team? Plus has anyone bought the ex-Marc VDS Mustangs yet? |

Some teams get partial support (like YD) but most of them are just plain privateers and have very little to do with manufacturers. edit: oh sorry, sorry! I somehow misread the topic title and thought your question was about FIA GT only, forget what I said then |

As I remember, the first season for the Lotus in British GT showed some potential, but an 'improved' version of the car the next year lived up to that old Lotus nickname (Lots Of Trouble, Usually Serious), and the team (IIRC Paul Whight's Cadena) who were running it bought an Aston instead... |

peugeot runs in brazilian stock car champ that is a sort of mix between megane eurotrophy and dtm, surely they don't have a GT style car in their production to make a gt3 version.

There were rumours of a new GT3 car surfacing soon according to several sources but heard nothing more since.
There was to be a Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione GT3 but the project didnt get underway and thus nothing happened. Which is a massive shame, would've loved to see that beautiful roadcar hitting the racetrack. |

Not really. They need a coupe and a decent production engine.
