Prime time huh? Should be interesting. It'll be a nice change.
I really hope the Champion vs. Dyson battle materializes. The potential is there for some major sparks if the later can keep their cars running. |

My eternal wish, go Dyson 16! Go 20! Chris Dyson went well here last year, hopefully both cars will run trouble free.
I am really intigued to see if we have a trouble free LMP2 run as I want to see how that plays out with the Penske Porsche effort looming on the horizon. I hope the implementation of the wider restrictors will spicen up GT1 a bit, and my other eternal wish in GT2, a storming run by a Panoz! robert |

Whilst im glad for the ALMS to have gotton a prime time TV slot, on a purley selfish note I hope that this is not a regular thing if it means people like Motors TV will not give LIVE race coverage of the ALMS. Its a bit of a shame that Motors TV cant/wont televise the race live this weekend, sure theyd not get the same viewing numbers as normal I would imagine due to the time the race is on but id still expect a few thousand to tune in.

i hope the GT1 battle gets interesting, and i wonder, when and if Mr. Saleen comes out with a new GT1 car, if he'll run it with ACEMCO?

Everyone was quick. I believe each class saw at least a car under the track record.

Nice run for the AutoCon guys!!!!!
They had to be very disappointed with the broken clutch last weekend...especially since that team prides itself on its car preparation....they all work hard and do a great job.... I'm hoping they can show their talents this weekend on a track that should be decent for them.... Roll On, AutoCon!!!! |

About 30 minutes into first practice today. LTS is online.
Dyson cars still cruising out front with the #20 car on top at 1:03.348. (edit: the #16 car just posted a 1:03.180) Intersport has lowered their mark with a 1:05.998 compared to a 1:06.989 from yesterday. The Maserati has done a 1:09.059, which is better than their time from yesterday. Almost within half a second of the #3 Vette, which is top GT1 with a 1:08.477. PWL on top in GT2 with a 1:12.262, also better than their class leading time from yesterday. |

Im VERY happy with the pace that Johnny Mowlem got out of the Acemco Saleen. Its starting to bring back memories of Konrad batteling the Vettes a few years back..

The record times are probably a result of the modified festival curves. Should be an exciting race!

Oh my, that was a long 15 minutes at the end....just waiting for the Weaver's Lola to putter to a stop. You couldn't believe it could, but you just knew it would. I just can't believe it stopped on the last lap.
Really wished the Saleen had not gotten tangled up in Lehto's crash as I wanted to see how it's new performance level was going to play out over race distance. |
