Mosler in Belcar season finale
Martin Short and Simon Pullan are taking their Rollcentre Mosler MT900R from the British GT series to the last Belcar race, the Belgian Masters, at Zolder circuit this weekend. Short said he saw the Belcar at the Francorchamps round of the British GT series and that the Belcar series looked professional, very varied, and with an interest in original concepts. Short said the car made its debut in the latest British GT championship race and the car went modest but promising, now they want to introduce the car and its potential to European crowds. Short also said the engine in the car now hasn't even got 500 bhp but the chassis can sustain a lot more.
The car is eligible for Belcar GTB class which puts it up against Porsche GT3-R(S), BMW Z3 GT and the Vertigo amongst others. Not very tough competition, I know, but the Belgian drivers know the circuit by heart and have raced their cars there already about 4 times this season. This could be very exciting. I wish I could go. |

I'm sure we'll all want to wish Martin and Simon the very best of luck for a good race (and outcome!).

I spent the saturday and sunday in their pit garage because the weather was so aweful. They finished in an excellent 11th position and were 1st in class. Not too bad for two Zolder rookies in a brand new car.

It does look a bit like a squashed Corvette (I know I know, the engine's on the wrong end but still...)

The car was the head turner of the weekend. Nearly everyone came by to have a look at it... and the engine note is sooooo sweat.
