Antrodemus should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
2007 V8SCFC Round 2 Barbagallo Results

My one-sentence analysis of events will follow once I've actually seen the racing...

Top Ten out West
Chrysler 101 Racing (M-Kart) 138
Team Chaparral Racing (TCR-028) 117
Rombles Racing (Rombles1) 112
Budget Action Racing (Dazz) 112
5 Kmart Racing (Matt_015) 99
5 Hazzard Motorsport (redrag) 99
5 Dazz Motorsport (HRT Man_05) 99
5 Club 27 Racing (woodbine) 99
9 Rowdy Motorsport (Rowdy) 97
9 Gotta Race (billybanana) 97

Chrysler 101 Racing eased out to a comfortable win in the second round of the championship, and must surely be favoured at the other rounds held in desert-like conditions. Team Chaparral Racing claimed third, just ahead of Rombles Racing and Budget Action Racing.
Congrats to champion sandcastle builders Will Davison, Steve Johnson, Shane Price, and Mark Skaife.

Hard Charger Award
This is always fun after the first round, with teams rebounding spectacularly after awful starts. Two teams managed 33 place gains in WA, but the Hard Charger goes to Chrysler 101 Racing, because once they got to first place, they couldn't actually go any further. Rombles Racing was the other 33-place gainer, while Team Chaparral Racing (+27), Kmart Racing (+23), Dazz Motorsport (+21) and Hazzard Motorsport (+21) all had a very enjoyable time.

Biggest Loser Award
With people going forwards at a rate of knots, there were also people going backwards at equally sensational speeds. Chief among these was Bahodietek, who fell 37 places and also got their sandcastle kicked over. Hayden Craig Motorsport followed them closely, with a 36 place plunge, while MATTSPORT (-32), Team Mousemat Racing (-26), ReCar/CarTrek Racing (-26), Squadra Darkness (-24), and Power Charged Racing (-24) also sank like lead balloons.

62 (60) Ash Racing Australia (ASH_03) 50 (-153)
63 (61) Team JVC (perkins_11) 46 (-157)

Chrysler 101 Racing have stormed into the lead, and built a tidy margin over a very bunched field. There's literally nothing in it at this stage.

There is something wrong in the Battle of the Mods though, because Pinnacle Motorsport are not only leading, they've cracked the Top 10 overall! Quite an achievement for the perennial cellar-dwellers. CelciusSport trails by 30 points now, and are in serious danger of being overtaken by Scuderia Cavallo Ferro.

Rombles1 should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Rombles Racing is currently breathing a sigh of relief after a fantastic weekend, which started with a driver change (Holdsworth in / Owen out), but could have been disastrous had we dropped Skaife for Courtney as well, as we were seriously considering!

Roll on Pukekohe! A chance for my pair if Kiwi's to shine!

Club 27 Racing move up to second place

After a solid round at Barbagallo defending Fantasy Champions Club 27 Racing have moved up to second place in the standings. Team owner woodbine said "We had a really good result, but it was very close to being even better if James Courtney hadn't had problems in all of the races. I am very pleased to see that Fabian Coulthard has picked up his first points of the season."

The team is now getting ready to ship its cars to New Zealand for the last event at Pukekohe on April 20-22.

Rowdy should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Rowdy Motorsport are very excited by their start to the season. Round 2 could have been so much better if Courtney didn't suffer numerous problems but an all time team high of 3rd in the championship gives the team a great platform for the rest of the season.

What a weekend!!!

Chrysler 101 Racing's post-round press release is a little last this week, after the entire team have been rcovering from a massive hang over from celebrating our first win. We are happy to announce that for the first time, the Chrysler 300C's at the front WEREN'T the Safety Cars!!!

To take a round win, and also Hard Charger Award, hopefully its the start of a big year. Will, Steve, Mark & Shane now know how to be quick in our cars, so there's no excuse!!!

Now that we are getting over nursing our headaches, we might celebrate by actually painting our cars, and giving the guys their liveries! (no more plain black 300C's!

Thanks to all involved in the running of the series, and our guys at Larko's old workshop - our current shop - to get the cars so quick!

Bring On Pukekohe!!!!!!!!!! we have work to do - once you get to the top, its a different thing to stay there!!

Chrysler-101 Racing out!!!

The good news is we won something!

The bad news is what we won.

Here's to the next round where SBR will do a 1,2...

And to think i only just wandered in now to check how i was going and see we took out 2nd place for the round - wow !!

We are obviously so confident in the team that we are in no hurry to check the pointscores...

Cheers,
Boppa
