ALMS Rnd 10: Laguna Seca 19-21 Oct 2006
I thought we had a Laguna Seca thread but apparently not.
Two weeks today and the LMP1 grid will be minus one Dyson Lola. DSC are reporting that the logistics involved in getting the #20 car repaired and raceworthy in time have led to the decision to field just the #16. Chris Dyson and James Weaver share driving duties with Butch and Guy sidelined for this race. Great shame to see the LMP1 grid depleted for the season finale! The Aston Martin DBR9s will be required to run at the same weight as the C6R Corvettes for this race.

DSC are reporting that Michael Vergers will partner Stuart Moseley in the Bruichladdich Radical. If the car behaves, that'll be a very quick pairing!

My 7 year old is getting really excited. I asked him what he was looking forward to seeing most and his reply was the Ferrari 430. Suppose I still have some work to do in order to fully get him prototype crazy. He then asked about overall and class positions. So we had a nice discussion about that.
As for me, I'm anxious to see the new R10s in person. It'll be great to hear TWO RS Spyders this time around. And having seen the Creation car in 2004 and the Zytek in 2005 it will be cool to see them both this year. I'm also looking foward to seeing the two SR9s. Will be interested to see if the track people have done anything in regards to the botched re-pave job. The bottom of the corkscrew was very bumpy during Moto GP along with several other areas. |

LOL! Nooo, try 32.
FYI, top R10 is 1:15.060 with the top RS Spyder at a 1:15.201. The Porsche is quicker than last year's qualifying pace. |

Difference between Capello and Dumas = 0.001
The top 5 was extremely close: within 0.3 sec of each other.
Creation and Dyson need to find some extra pace:
Hopefully the Radicals and Horag can improve a bit as well, to close the gap with Intersport:

Normally at http://www.imsaracing.net/imsaNS.cfm...esultsalms.htm, but it is not there yet. You can see it in the live timing however: http://www.imsaracing.net/2003/lt/ltc.html This will become unavailable once the next training sessions start.
