Pittman Woods
Ah, been a LONG time since I've posted a track here, hasn't it?
http://img403.imageshack.us/my.php?i...anwoodsoo1.gif This one's a bit different from Daigneault, more of a natural feel to it. We start on the pit straight heading downhill toward the first and second turns, both right, comparable to the first and second turns at Road America. Then down a medium-length straight, uphill now, with a slight right turn near the end and into another double turn, this time to the left. The first is longer and allows you to slow down a bit before the second turn, which is considerably sharper. Now we go down a long straight with kinks to the left (slight crest here) then right before hitting a sharp left and easing into a long carousel-like right. Exiting the carousel, we have a small straight before a right-right-left complex, with the second right being just after the first, almost unnoticeable since the driving line takes you away from the second apex. Now, the penultimate straight, with a left kink and a long right uphill sweep. Right after the sweep, we brake for the chicane, built only a few years ago to reduce speed in the final stage of the lap after a touring car driver was killed going through the old final corner, which used to be another right sweep. But back to the track, the chicane complex drives similarly to the final sequence of corners at Suzuka, with a slow right-left with a long right-hander to accelerate back onto the pit straight and end the lap. |

Great. A classic design.

Very nice dude, for some reason it brings up images of Road America, and a bit of Watkins Glen/ Lime Rock...
So, a good circuit then! |

Great track, and it looks a bit like Zandvoort.
