Even though it was a bit of procession in the end, and dominated by controversy from qualifying, I enjoyed that. Very quick circuit, and dead chuffed to see Alonso on the podium. 7.

6 got a bit intriguing at the end and also for me looks great out there, but overall seemed more like a friendly imo.

Quieter than last week for sure, but quite a lot going on behind the front 2. Gave it 7.

Average. 5. The chewing gum typres / kerbs made it more interesting, for the wrong reasons.

Not bad. Not wildly exciting. I couldn't follow who had stopped and who hadn't, so that detracted a bit. I gave it 7.

6. It would have been a 5 but it gets another point for Alonso's great podium.

Definitely plenty of action behind once the top 2 were settled and nice to see Alonso back on the podium again. Gave it a 7

As a race I think it was quite bad. The track is terrible for racing, but it also looks like it would be glorious fun to drive. I am quite divided about the effect of DRS at this track. There was basically only one corner where anything happened, at all. That's a sucky track. Also, if you managed to get DRS opened, that was the end of it. It felt so very artificial it was boring. It reminded me of that race earlier this year when DRS wasn't working, and Sainz drove like it didn't matter. That not only tells me Sainz is a marvellous driver and that this would have been Monaco without the DRS that felt more artificial than ever.
After *****ing and moaning about that, I *loved* to see Alonso back at the podium. That raised the race experience up to a 5. |

...also I lost all respect for Masi after Spa, and after this weekend I want him removed. I don't necessarily think Max should be penalized (not in fact), but I would like to see consistency and if someone does something that has been penalized before it should be investigated! Not just ignored. What a bl**dy idiot.

I presume you were looking for the Brazil thread. Max did do something wrong in Qatar and was penalized in a consistent manner.

Sorry for not being very coherent in my ranting, but that was what I meant, yes.
