This is dedicated to every IO, Observer, Ex-O or whatever who's ever been made to feel that their experience isn't appreciated by newer members of the crew - myself included -if there's anyone out there who had the misfortune to deal with me during my "expert marshalling phase" which lasted for about 3 weeks during my first year!
Ode to Veteran Marshals I met an observer on my post last week He seemed so glad to see me, I had to smile And we talked about the circuit and the laughter and the tears Cos you're all still crazy after all these years! I'm not the kind of marshal who doesn't want to know I want to learn from old familiar ways And I ain't no know it all - please come and whisper in my ears Cos you're all still crazy after all these years!
